Don't get the asus case. It provides no protection the sides of the case, and as i put my ally vertically in my bag, this is a big reason for me to search for another case. I had a skull and co previously but that case didn't have quite enough clearance for my analog stickgrips. which brings me to the pros and cons of this tomtoc case. Pros: very slim and form fitting. has enough clearance for my skull&co grip case and analog stick grips (also from skull&co) ykk zippers great protection nice padded handle cons: if the padded handle could be something like one of the skull&co switch cases that can convert to strap, that would be cool, only because it would give another option of carry As far as this case is concerned, its near perfect for the ally if ur looking to just protect the ally and carry accessories seperately, like in a backpack or something. Otherwise, you'd need to look elsewhere, or wait for tomtoc to release a deeper version that accomodates accessories, like some cases they make for the switch. All in all, this is the perfect case for me. I love this thing P.S. the material on the outside is like a rubbery/foamy marterial that feels very high quality. Picked this up cause I saw someone review on reddit for thr Rog Ally and I'm glad I purchased it. Exactly what I was looking for and very secure feeling. Doesn't feel cheap nor do the zippers. When the new Ally comes out if you guys make case for it - I will be buying it. 10/10

This case is awesome! it has a nice hard shell that protects your ROG, I take this to work in my backpack and it's great for protection. The only downside is that you cannot put the charger in the case, I don't really care to pack the charger so it's not a big deal to me.

The fit is almost perfect but there isn't really enough room for the charger so I will ultimately have to return it. The cutouts for the sticks are great, a feature more cases need. If you want to be able to toss this in a backpack that holds anything else you might need, like the charger, this is probably as good of a fit as you can get. If you want to use it as a standalone case, you'll have to get another one unfortunately.     • Survived despite being shipped to me in a zip-loc bag.

Amazon shipped it in the original clear zip-loc type packaging with a shipping label slapped on it. But it survived going throughout the whole unprotected shipping process, through different carriers without being crushed, bent or even scuffed. If it can survive that than I feel totally confident putting my expensive toy in it and cramming it into my backpack. only criticisms are that it does has a strong chemical smell and you need to let the case air out for a while and I wish the storage behind the soft screen protector had some sort of dedicated micro sd slots instead of the empty void where cards could be mixed up. ... show more
