The product looks good and is of good quality, and fulfills its purpose of being a cassette player well. However, there is a big detail here: it is very basic and has very poor sound quality. However, don't expect anything special. If you just want to plug it in and play your music and don't care about quality, this product is wonderful. When connected to quality speakers, it remains poor, with no bass, midrange or treble. On its own speaker, the sound is just bad. It is not a cassette player for audiophiles, but for the price it is justified. Good ones cost 5 to 10 times more. So, it gets a 10 for delivering the basics. ... show more

It sounds good enough for me! My grandmother bought me and her one here on my account and both work so I am very pleased with the product.It is easy enough to use and I am very young (28 year old female).I also thing that it is a cool little gadget and I got mine for my evanescence cassette that I own and I am loving it! It also has a little speaker that you can listen to in the front of the device and I like the way it sounds or you can use regular headphones which is pretty cool too. ... show more

This is a cheap defective product that destroyed a valuable tape that I attempted to play. I asked and initially received a refund but was told by Amazon that I "returned the wrong item" and would be charged if I did not return it. Through various messages with Amazon and the company (who refused to take any accountability) I was told the correct product was returned and that the refund would be processed. However, today I received notice that they still had not received the correct product and charged my account. This has been going on for almost four months. BUYER BEWARE...unless you would like to pay for a defective product that you can't return. ... show more

This is my first cassette player iv had in years. Pros: Well priced It’s small and fits in my pocket well. Plays tapes perfectly and at proper speed. Volume is decent with headphones. No tape jams yet an I Used it heavily all week 🤝🏽 Cons: The outside speaker is a nice touch but it’s not loud at all. Pretty sure this is mono and not stereo. I have yet to use the recorder button on blanks but I did read reviews of the mic being horrible and I could definitely see that being an issue. It’s a little fragile, definitely not for kids but more so the adult who handles things with intention and care. Plain and simple. You can find better but it will come at a price much higher than this entry level starter player. ... show more

With the cheap price you get what you pay for. The built in speaker is in the door of the player where you place your tapes in. I am not sure if this is a healthy way to keep your tapes in for extended period of time as magnets will damage tapes. Functionality is good, build quality is decent, size is decent, and the record function is good. But this outputs a mono sound, not a stereo sound which is misleading. And be mindful about the speaker magnet and your tapes. ... show more

Nice little thing.. plays and all the buttons work well. I love the feature of the little speaker. Don’t expect it to be like a Bose sound system, but it’s great to listen to recordings of voices or light music in the garage... Which is why I got it.

I wanted this to play cassettes I had when my kids were toddlers… nursery songs and story telling. For a 3 yr old…. It does just fine! I would recommend this for a cheap, definitely temporary entertainment source for a child any day….(I just wouldn't expect it to last long…that’s the norm for stuff made in China) BUT…ALSO remember…..AGAIN, it’s cheap, that’s why you bought it😂….but it’s made in China…. So on top if not lasting very long, it will probably eat a couple cassette tapes! SO……I would NOT advise putting a cassette in it that you cherish… . For that….You need to find an old American made one and have it cleaned before you put your valuable cassettes in it. OR BETTER YET, go pay a couple bucks and have a company transfer it to whatever newer device you use… It’s doing what I needed it to for a cheap price! So I give it 5 stars. 👍👍 ... show more
