While it is only temporary relief (I don't expect permanent relief due to the nature of the injury), it does help where medication may not. My wife had an old massager and wanted something better. This thing works very good, its well made and all the features and extras work very well. The only thing would be that the battery doesn't last so long. Its ok between 2 to 5 uses, which is not bad, but thought it would last more.

I have a serious hip injury that causes me to have bursitis in my hip that is very painful. I have sciatic nerve pain as well. This massage gun easily removes the muscles knots I get within a couple minutes of using it. It has eliminated the restless nights of sleep I had from being in pain. I have used it on my shoulders and neck and again does amazing. It is powerful, but for me I rarely go beyond the 1st level. Its battery when charged lasts a very long time.
