These are pretty good quality sheer curtains. They feel like a cotton/linen, not like that plastic style sheer that is made of nylon. These are fairly sheer. I wanted them to help cut down on the direct sunlight without blocking too much light. I ended up buying double the number I needed and I've sewn them together at the top, hanging them as 2-layers. That has worked perfectly and provides a good amount of light filtering yet still lets enough brightness through so the house doesn't feel like a cave. I ended up coming back to order a lot more in different sizes for different windows. Out of the package they are of course creased where they were folded. However I found that the wrinkles come out easily on the steam setting in the dryer and these also ironed out beautifully as well. My only wish is that these came in a few more width and length combinations. My house was built in 1922 so none of the windows and doors are modern "standard" sizes. I have had to alter a few of them to fit. I have two 2nd floor porch French Doors and this brand does not carry any size that comes close to what I need for the doors in the width and length so I had to order those from another seller/brand. I ordered these sheer curtains and didn't realize they were linen type fabric and I love them! They are still sheer enough to let the light in without allowing people to peer in during the day. They were folded and I didn't have time to iron them. I was going to steam them but I realized over time, the folds just came out. The previous ones I had were a sheer nylon type fabric and shredded after a few washings and now I need to replace them in the rest of my windows so I ordered three more sets. I needed to replace my light yellow sheer bedroom curtains. After buying two other sets that looked like a pretty pale yellow but are actually gold when you get them, I was discouraged over the waste of money and also not having pretty yellow curtains. These looked a bit lighter so I decided to try yet another time. The color is just what I am looking for! The "linen type" weave is just that. It's not the silky/slippery sheer material I'm used to but the texture is actually a nice change. These look great and I'm very happy with them.
