  • Perfect for holding game pieces.
Style: Token TWO
We bought these for our Wyrmspan game to hold the “goods” tokens. They are the perfect size and fit nicely in the box.

  • Good accessory for board game fanatics.
Style: Token TWO
We love playing board games. Every game has different amounts of parts and pieces and some need a lot of them handy during game play. These cool trays help you stay organized and keeps things from getting everywhere. I think they are a fantastic idea.

  • Nice quality
Style: Token TWO
These are strong enough for storage and very light. I wish they had less extra plastic around them. They are larger than other brands I've been buying. These are better priced and easier to obtain, but they are slightly larger than I'd prefer.

  • Lightweight, nest into each other, very handy for token-heavy games
Style: Token TWO
These trays are great, just simple plastic holders for tokens and game pieces. Each tray has two compartments and a lid, which is great for storage. They will stack/nest on top of each other and are very lightweight. A simple thing, but much nicer than having game pieces scattered loose across the table. ... show more

  • Deceptively strong
Style: Token TWO
When I first opened the box containing these I was HIGHLY disappointed - the plastic looked super cheap. I thought they were a waste of time, so I didn't bother using them at first until I really needed them for something and then I was shocked, they actually worked perfectly. The plastic IS cheap looking, but its still real firm and structurally really strong, I had no fear of stacking, and the click in mechanism for the top was sufficiently strong enough that I had no real concerns with the top coming off either. Really good product at the end of the day, it just didn't look like it fresh out the box. ... show more

  • Thick and sturdy, but not cheap
Style: Token TWO
I prefer these styles of component trays over the usual ones that have a smaller footprint and deeper wells, as these trays are easier to reach into with thick fingers and grab tokens. The plastic is substantial without being overly weighty (some other company trays use such thin plastic they crack easily) and the lids fit snugly with a satisfying click! One of the selling points of these trays are the interlocking system for stacking them, in particular how trays of different sizes can be stacked (see the manufacturer's page for examples). Since I only have this one size of tray though, I can't comment on how well that works. I'm not quite sure how useful it would be, as you're not stacking trays during a game. I suppose if you're putting them in a deeper box and don't want the trays sliding around as much it would be nice, but that's not an issue I care much about personally. These trays of same size stack very securely with each other however, so the basic design seems sound. Despite these being the best component trays I've personally used, they're not cheap. At the moment I'm writing, this particular size is $20 for a pack of 5 trays or $4 per tray. At that price I'm not about to replace all my plastic baggies with trays anytime soon. Just the ones for my favorite or most played games. But overall these trays are very satisfying and useful. Very glad to have them! ... show more

  • Well done, but small compartments and expensive for what it is
Style: Token TWO
What was good: • The design concept of this product is interesting and well thought out. There are multiple module designs to allow mix and match configuration for different games. • The quality of this product is very good, and the lids snap on snug. I don’t have a concern about the lid popping off once it is snapped on. The plastic is thin on purpose to keep these at lower weight, but still feel sturdy enough. • I will help with the interior dimensions… each of the compartments in this 2-cell version are approximately 2.8” by 1.9” and the depth of a 52 playing card deck. The seller shows the size in metric units (mm) in one image, and I confirmed that with a ruler. • Experienced gamers do like to organize game pieces so that the setup time for the game is shorter. Typically zip bags are used. For a favorite game, especially with wooden bits, some gamers will spend the extra money to upgrade to plastic trays, etc. So, what’s so-so or not good: • With this Two-cell version, each of the 2 compartments is smallish… OK for games with a small quantity and/or size of pieces to fit into the compartments. Don’t expect it to handle larger games, wargames, or miniature figures. I understand it is purposely small size and height so that it can fit in many different game boxes. Still, not a lot of storage in this 2-cell version. • As of the time I am writing this review, the selling price is just under $20. In my opinion, these are not good value at that price. Search Amazon for “playing card deck cases” and there are basic plastic cases that can hold a typical regular card deck… for about half the price per unit. For use during game play, I have various trays (game storage units and regular craft containers) and use silicone cupcake cups sometimes that I keep just for gaming. • Each tray lid has 2 small sharp point nubs which look like where the piece was separated from a molding sprue or similar. On my units, one of these is on one of the short sides of the lid, and the other is on one of the long sides of the lid. They are not hazardous, but they are annoying if touched while grasping the lid. They are too small to clip off easily, but I need to try. • I could not find any “Made in…” marking on the package box, the units themselves, nor the selling item listing. Doing some web research, it turns out this company is in Moscow, Russia… which explains the bit of Cyrillic text on the side of the box. Perhaps these are manufactured in Russia. Since we don’t know about the owners or their views on the war, I will not jump to conclusions. It is not safe for people in Russia to be open if they dissent. However, I would likely not have ordered if I had known this origin. I ordered this in the Amazon Vine program, but that does not influence my review opinion. I own and have played hundreds of games, so I have some experience with storing game bits and managing their deployment on the table. This product accomplishes what it is designed for. That said, I believe there are other options that cost less while having similar functionality. This review is for the “MEEPLE HOUSE UNIQ TRAY SYSTEM Token Two-Cell Box for Board Game Pieces …” product. ... show more
