  • Quick, accurate scale
I've only used this a few times, but if anything changes, I will update my review. I haven't used any scales nicer than this one, but I have used a cheaper one and this one is better in just about every way. Overall, I think it's a great scale that isn't outrageously expensive, is easy enough to use, and doesn't require fiddling with an app. Here is what I like: -It's very responsive, which is to say that the readout reflects weight changes immediately rather than a second or two later. This has actually taken me a little getting used to, but it's nice to have. I feel like I have seen some reviews claiming it is not very responsive, but I have to assume they are talking about the previous model as that was specifically addressed with this newer version. -As far as I can tell, it's accurate. I've checked it against my cheaper scale and it reads about the same. This doesn't necessarily reflect accuracy, I suppose, but it also doesn't seem likely that they would be off by the same amount, so it seems close enough to me. -It's consistent. On my cheap scale, when I was weighing out my beans, I could just pick up the container and put it back down and it might change by up to 1 g. This meant that I was mostly just getting it close enough as I could never really trust that the number I was seeing actually reflected the weight of the beans. This scale does not do that. When I pick up the container and put it back, I see the exact same weight every time. It's a small thing, but it makes for a much nicer experience. -It looks sleek and is easy to keep clean. -Rechargeable battery with a USB-C connector is nice. -The auto standby feature is smart enough to not turn off the scale while you are using it. It seems to wait until the scale is idle before counting down to go into standby, so it never gets in the way. I don't use the timer on the scale, which would disable the auto standby feature, so I'm very happy about this. And some things I don't like so much: -The capacitive buttons are far, far too sensitive. You can activate them from like an inch away. I would much prefer normal mechanical buttons. -I don't really like that the buttons are on the weighing surface as this means that touching the buttons changes the registered weight. This is also why there is a necessary delay in the tare function. -As others have pointed out, the auto timer is probably not very useful since it will pause if you lift up the container to swirl the water around. I don't use it, but that does seem like an oversight. I can also imagine it being a bit annoying if you're just trying to weigh beans and the timer starts. ... show more

  • Fast espresso scale with a few usability quirks
This was an upgrade from a Hario scale. In terms if speed, this is nearly instantaneous, whereas the Hario takes a second. The numbers are easy to read, and I like the silicone mat. Battery life is great too - it came fully charged out of the box and still at 3 bars after a few weeks of daily use. It fits nicely in the drip tray of my Ascaso Steel DUO. Overall it's a great scale. However, it does have some quirks. - Because the buttons are on the weighing platform, tareing or turning the scale off causes the numbers to go crazy. - There is a loud beep that indicates when a button is pressed. You can turn it off, but I never remember how, and it always seems to come back on. These aren't deal breakers by any means, but you could definitely spend a bit more for a more polished product if that's your thing. ... show more

  • My second best inexpensive scale
This is my second best scale, it's thicker and has less program options than the Kyerlish scale. The lack of programs isn't a huge deal but it does prevent me from using a few cups due to the height.

  • Nice scale, but hard to handle
I like this scale. But since the entire top surface is a single piece, it's hard to handle without compressing the delicate measurement parts. It's sturdy though and I've not had a problem yet, but I always mindfully do not squeeze it to hard as most ways to pick it up also press down on the measurement internals. ... show more

  • It's pretty big
I'm using this as an espresso scale. My machine has a fairly big working area but I still need to turn the scale sideways to have it fit. The auto time start function can be a little finicky, but I'm pleased overall. I'd probably budget a little more for the compact version next time.

  • Great function, lack of longevity
Bought three of these 4 months ago. Only one is still weighing accurately. One broke within 1 month, the second stopped working correctly last week. Both turn on but fluctuate the displayed weights up and down.

  • Used daily
This is the best scale we owned so far. Through the years, we've changed our scales so many times because of flaws and inaccuracies. This one is accurate to the point . It's chargeable and so far I've only to charged it once since I'm got it, m as you be 8 weeks ago. Let's see, I'll update if I have to ,but so far so good. ... show more
