When I first opened the box, i noticed what appeared to be scuffs in the largest suitcase. Upon removing them from the packaging, I realized they had a "protective film" covering the suitcases. This immediately brought to mind the question "if this is a durable finish why does it require a protective film?" I began removing the film and encountered 2 primary issues. First, I have arthritis and chronic tendonitis in my hands, it has taken me almost an hour to get the majrity of the film off 3 suitcases. The film does NOT come off easily at all. Second, with out the use of something like a utility razor, there is NO way to get all the film removed (see pics). The film simply stretches and tears to shreds when you try to remove it from the edges and fasteners. I would prefer to not have to take a razor or knife to my brand new suitcase before I even have the chance to use them. So my brand new suitcase set looks quite ragged, as if the finish is peeling. Why, if a protective film was necessary for shipping, did the manufacturer not make certain the film was not trapped under every edge of every fitting to allow for full remaval. And if the manufacturer was confident in the durability of the finish, was a protective film necessary in the first place? Another concern is they feel rather cheap. There is a flimsiness to the structure and fittings that does not inspire confidence. Also, there are no included instructions on how to reset the lock codes from 0-0-0. My next step will be searching online to try and figure out how to reset the codes for some degree of security for my belongings. On a positve note, the color is lovely as is the current finish and design. The zippers, handles, and wheels all move easily. They are lightweight. And they were inexpensive. As a side note, I bought a simlar set of a different brand for my son at the same time I bought these for myself. The price of the other set was comparable. It felt much more durable and did not have a protective film. My suggestion to anyone looking to purchase a new suitcase set is keep looking. There are other sets in this price range without the hassles I have encountered simply removing these from the packaging. *I travel several times per year for work and pleasure. If I don't forget, I will update my review at a later date once I have put these to use a few times. ... show more

I’ve purchased the black set. Love the way it looked have used it twice and the large suitcase makes it difficult to use. The wheels are not smooth they get stuck which means you have to drag the suitcase. Would not use anymore such a disappointment.

I don't know yet how this luggage will hold up. So I can't review on that. However... be prepared to spend hours pulling off plastic film from EACH piece. There is nothing I hate more than wrapping gifts and this is as much a pain in the a@# as that! Out of control waste of plastic! Protective film? The minute this luggage leaves my sight there will be marks... so why is this necessary? And thank you for making me work and clean ( because it comes off in so many pieces and has static) just to use this luggage. Please do not read this wrong, I am grateful that I need luggage.. it's the amount of plastic for zero need that is maddening ... show more

This luggage set is amazing. I’ve had it for about six months and I’ve traveled numerous times with all three sizes and I’ve never had any problems. No scuffs, no dents, no slices, and no cracks. My last luggage set was destroyed by the airline and I learned the hard way that you have to research what type of material your luggage is made by, otherwise, you may end up with your clothes coming down the conveyer belt at the airport. Well after that incident, I did my research and came across this luggage set. The price was great and I was excited to try it out. After months of both domestic and international travel, always checking my bag, and always having to pay the overweight fee because I’m not a light packer, these suitcases have held up incredibly well. The material is incredibly durable yet flexible so when your luggage is being thrown around, it can withstand the force without breaking, while still protecting your items inside. ... show more

PROS: The price was right, the color is as pictured and all zippers and closures work. Rolls evenly. CONS: Lining is poor quality and each suitcase has very minor nicks and scratches (that I can live with). Handles are a wee bit wobbly. Overall, not feeling too confident about this purchase. Love this luggage so far. Chose it because it’s hard case and easy to clean. Can’t beat the price and quality. Even comes with a locking system that I didn’t know about. I have purchased 2 sets , one for me and my husband. Love the orange and the blue is very pretty. Still trying to get the protective plastic wrap off. We recently flew Spirit airlines and they are very strict with the size of luggage and the smallest of this set was perfect for that airline and still big enough for a few days away.
