Being new to binding, I first chose the cheapest route and opted for a comb binder. It worked; however, using the comb binding for daily things was cumbersome. For bigger projects, I fought with the threading. The comb system I had purchased was terrible cutting through plastic covers. That was the reason I began looking for a spiral binding system. First, had to check the differences in a 4:1 & 3:1 pitch. The prices are comparable for the machine. Finding the spiral sizes for the bigger projects, led me to the 4:1 pitch. This model comes as a 4:1 pitch. Set for A4. You can use the markings for A5. It does come with small project spirals. (Be prepared to purchase a variety pack.) Also, does come with the wire crimping tool. Based on previous reviews, I didn't bother with plugging it in. It was easy to thread the spirals. (Had cardboard backing and two plastic covers front / back.) Overall, it performed as expected. ... show more

I do wish it would cut through more paper, especially for the price. And the price point is where it loses a star… all you need is the holes punched. I suppose if I was running 100+ coils through the holes then the electric part might be useful, but it’s so easy and fast to manually run the coil through that I haven’t used the electronic part yet. It’s not necessary for me, and there ought to be a much less expensive version that doesn’t include the motor. But the puncher works well, and I’m quite pleased with how professional my bound books look. ... show more

I was really excited about this product, and it worked perfectly! However, I was disappointed when it stopped working after about 6-months. The manual it came with said it has a one-year guarantee, so I reached out to the manufacturer. They got back to me right away, and when I provided proof of purchase (my amazon invoice), they sent me a replacement! I will definitely buy from Tianse again! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This coil binding machine is easy to use and makes beautifully bond products in minutes! I am a teacher so I use this machine to bind workbooks and teacher manuals. I am so glad I got this because the alternative is I would use binders, but those take up more space. When I bind my own manuals and workbooks, I save on space on my bookshelf. I use this machine to put Manuel's together. I was a little disappointed when the roller that winds the books didn't work. Took the machine out of the box today and only the electrical part didn't work. But overall it made the holes so I could use it to bind my books. Now I have to decide whether I want to return it to get a working one or to just bind the books by hand. ... show more
