  • Poor construction, cheap leather
Purchased the Duke in black. The quality of the leather isn't impressive (feels almost plastic), and after one month of light, occasional wear, the stitching surrounding the elastic is already coming apart (see picture). Overall advice: don't recommend. Save your money and buy a quality pair of boots. ... show more

  • QC is lacking
Purchased these boots and upon arrival the first thing I noticed was a slight separation in the heel. Rest of the boot seemed to be well constructed, leather appeared to be of decent/good quality. Unfortunately, that gap in the sole at the heel was a dealbreaker. I sent them back and opted for a a replacement pair. Got the replacement pair and lo and behold, same exact problem. This time on both boots. I actually got an even worse pair the second time. Sooooo, yeah, I’ll look elsewhere. I know they’re a well-reviewed company, but my experience was not good at all. ... show more

  • Well worth the price
Comfortable. Well made. Reasonable price. And, thank God, an old man (me) can put them on and take them off without needing the help of a surgical robot. Who would have thought that would be a problem? Well, I can tell you're not interested in that. Now. But the time will come when you will remember my lamentation. You may as well be prepared by owning these boots before your back and hips play major roles in deciding your footwear. You will want to get into those 40x30 jeans again, maybe put some Wildroot Cream Oil on that last hair - the one on your head, buddy - and take the old Ford Taurus wagon down to the Starbuck's. You will look great in these boots, the young ones will say. I do. No, really. Seriously, they also worked out for square dance. Don't snicker. Glad I bought'em. ... show more

  • Solid Boot, but not great
Was curious about the Thursday boot since they are Goodyear welted construction. I have had the boots for about 6 months and they are definitely showing their age. Have worn them maybe 3 or 4 days per week. Typically with my other Goodyear welted footwear I would resole them when needed, for these I don't really feel its going to be worth it. I am planning on dialing back their usage and just wearing them less frequently. There is no free lunch when it comes to quality footwear. These are better than entry level, but I honestly expected more out of them. The uppers are looking shoddy, the rubber has started to peel back from the toe, and the die around the leather sole has begun to fade fairly badly. I have regularly cleaned and oiled them, but if I wanted to make them more presentable at this point I would probably get a nice polish on them with black shoe polish, and get some black paint to make the sole look a little more presentable. They are comfortable and easy to slip on under some jeans. They definitely work for a more casual look. ... show more

  • Read the reviews and just buy a pair you’ll love them. Ill include pics
The media could not be loaded. It’s now been 2 weeks of wearing these and I’m just writing a review and uploading a video because I read the reviews before I bought these and I have to say these boots are awesome! I’m not saying that because everyone else is saying that it’s because it’s legit. These boots make the ladies look and the men wish they knew wear to get these. Every time I put these on I feel really good about my look. They make you almost 2inch taller with inserts which puts me a 6ft. I love that about these. Also the suade is such high quality you can tell when you rub or grip it it’s very thick and very soft to touch. If anything goes wrong I promise I’ll edit this review because I want all of you to feel the way I do when I put these on and know if anything is not right. But so far I’m going to start my little Thursday collection. Already got my presidents in cognac suade from the website and they are just as good. Each boot has its own personality and style. I love these boots. ... show more

  • Absolutely beautiful and well made
Size: 13 Color: Dark Olive Suede
The hardest thing about buying clothing and shoes online is getting proper fit. Once you get dialed in with a specific brand, then it's easy to move on from there. I see a lot of conflicting information online about how Thursday boots (and every other company) fit, especially because some people wear shoes that are too small for them and think they "fit," and others get shoes too large and put in insoles and/or wear thick socks. It's subjective. The words "true to size" are meaningless unless there is a frame of reference. No two companies have the exact same last (shape of the footbed), some are longer/shorter, narrower/wider, taller/shallower footbed, pointed/rounded, etc, etc. For a frame of reference, I measure a 12.5 in the Brannock device for length. I wear 14 in Puma and Nike, 13.5 in Adidas, 12 in most Clarks, and anywhere from 11.5 to 13 in other men's shoes. I tried 11.5, 12 and 13 in Thursday Boots. 13 seems to be a perfect fit, with room for my toes. Long story short: For Thursday boots, I wear 1/2 size LARGER than the Brannock length measurement. As far as the boots go, they are obviously well made and you will get way more compliments than you want. If I have a suggestion, it's that the leather inside the boots and on the footbed is quite slippery, so you'll slide around at first until they shape to your feet, lending the idea that they are too large for some. Get past the break in (typically 5-7 days of use) and you'll realize how nice these boots are. I've worn everything from expensive boots to Red Wing Heritage (beautifully made but rock hard soles except for the Moc Toe boots) and these really are a great value. They are cheap enough that you won't feel sick if they get ruined, but expensive enough to be well made and to remind you to take good care of them. Get your size right and you'll be happy: 1/2 size over Brannock device length measurement. ... show more
