  • Great Boots
Size: 12 Color: Brown
My 4th pair of Ariats, 1st pair of square toe work boots. Out of the box-1st, out of the box comfortable. 2nd, good fit-ordered my regular size. Amazon said the I should order a size bigger, but I didn't. Glad I didn't pay attention to their comment. So far, I think break in will be less than an hour. It did, fit great. UPDATE-returned for a 1/2 size from regular everywhere. Fit is better. UPDATE- wearThe boots were comfortable out of box. After a few weeks the boots fit like a glove. I'll buy again if these wear out. UPDATE, 4 months after purchase. I wear these boots everywhere. Work all day in the yard, brush them good and wear them out to dinner. One review said the leather will root before the soles will wear out. The soles show no wear. These boots are the most comfortable ones I own. ... show more

  • Comfortable, Durable and Good Looking
Size: 12 Color: Brown
I bought one size bigger, as recommended. These boots are comfortable right out of the box, but they will require minimal break in for all day use. These are tough, good looking boots that are built to last. Ariat boots are legendary for a reason. You get what you pay for. Recommended 👍

  • My New Shoe Review- Crap Shoot
Size: 12 Wide Color: Brown
I read all the reviews and as usual, eliminated 50% of the bad reviews. I want to like these, I ordered the usual size I wear; 12W(EE). For me, I tried them with my normal "thick" socks, NO way I could get them on! Tried them with thin dress socks.... and with all my might, I got them on. Once on, they felt a bit small in the instep, arch/ top of foot- see my second picture. I have a high instep and they felt OK once on, but a bit on the tight side- as do some lace-up shoes do when new. I tried them both around the house for an hour or so and felt as if they were going to stretch out. At first glance, I thought as many other reviewers complained about that they would be too big. For me, with boots, I want them to stretch to fit due to the fact that there are no laces to tighten. But I want them to be easier to put on than they were. I will try my old trusty wooden shoe stretchers for a day or so to see if they loosen up in 'my' problem spot. Other fitment areas: toebox is adequate, heel slide is ok to large. All in all, I have only purchased a few pairs of shoes online and am learning that it is often a crap shoot! Amazon was late on delivering these to me, 9 days is not what I am conditioned for here! ... show more

  • Prefect fit.
Size: 14 Color: Brown
I work in construction so comfortable boots are a must. I got these for a bargain because they were "used" only thing wrong with them is they had some scuff marks, the insoles are brand new and the bottoms of them look like they have never touched the ground. I've always stood by Ariat boots they last me a lot longer than most other boots and don't take as long to break them in. ... show more

  • Great boots - durable, affordable and comfortable
Size: 10 Wide Color: Brown
I’m on my second pair of these, having just replaced my first pair after about 1.5 years of daily use on construction sites. Insole replaced after about six months originally with the ariat insoles, they lasted about another year along with the boots. Very stiff out of the box, recommend using mink oil or something similar to loosen up the leather and add water resistance. These are not waterproof, you have to grease them periodically. Leather is pretty durable, holds up well to scratches from rocks, wood, nails, concrete, etc on job sites. Not super well insulated so I would recommend think socks in the winter time for warmth. Arch and heel support is very good, even better if you swap the insoles out for the better ones. 10/10, will probably buy a third time in another year or two when I need another pair. ... show more

  • Husband loves these boots.
Size: 10.5 Color: Brown
My husband asked me to find him a pair of boots so I hopped on Amazon and filtered out things that he was looking for by asking him about his preferences, there weren’t much options that popped up after and most of them were ridiculous designs, this one was nice, I sent him a picture and he definitely wanted them. We ordered them and they got here within a day or so (prime). They’re good quality boots, easy to put on, very comfortable. The wide vs normal I think were the width options, I read reviews that these tend to run large, and my husband doesn’t have wide feet so we went with normal or whatever the not wide option was. They were still pretty roomy but he needed to get more boot socks and that helped a lot, I recommended he get inserts for them and he seemed to think that was a good idea, not sure if he ever did though. My husband wears size 10 in regular shoes, I think we were between getting size 11 or 10.5 (because the difference for boot sizes) I believe we went with 10.5 because of the reviews about them running large, I believe my husband said he could have gone half a size or a size down but when I asked if he wanted to return them for a different size he said no way lol. He loves them and they seem very durable, and good quality. Just make sure you pay attention to the size and maybe get thick boot socks/inserts if need be. Worked for us. ... show more
