  • Worst computer design ever concocted
The ports you expect to have at the back of this PC are INSIDE of it, besides the power port and there is no manual that explains how this works. ThermalTake took days to respond to me and after a bunch of back and forth, I learned you have to take off multiple panels to plug almost anything into the computer (monitor, USB, ethernet, speakers). You then have to route the wires through the computer, meaning you need longer cables, then have to put to panels back onto the computer. To make matters worse, they put a fan right on top of the graphics card ports. My hands were too big to fit into there and plug a monitor in. Further, I regularly plug things in and out of the back ports on my computers. The computer also had a high pitch whine at rest that drove me crazy. I wasn't able to actually use the computer as I couldn't plug a monitor in, so maybe it would go away after Windows is setup. One of the panels on the case didn't sit flush with the rest of the paneling. The PC is also very hard to transport as it's massive and there are no handles anywhere. This computer would work for you if you have very small hands (or know someone who does), have a ton of space as it's massive, are hard of hearing/don't do recording, and don't need to plug things into the computer once it's setup. I ended up returning it as I could not use it and Thermal Take stopped responding to me after I said I couldn't plug into the graphics card. ... show more

  • Impressive Performance and Aesthetics, Despite Minor Cable Routing Challenges
I recently purchased the Thermaltake LCGS View C i4790 Gaming Desktop, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and aesthetics. The computer is equipped with top-of-the-line components, including an Intel Core i9-14900KF CPU, 64GB DDR5 5600MT/s RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, and lightning-fast storage with 2x 2TB NVMe M.2 SSDs. I have seen another review mentioning challenges with the internal routing of peripheral cables, and while I did encounter this, I found that the panels were designed to be easily removed without tools. With a bit of patience and careful cable routing, I was able to set everything up properly. I did have to remove one thumbscrew on a fan to ensure all cables were seated correctly, but this was a minor inconvenience. Once set up, the computer's performance was nothing short of outstanding. It handled demanding games like Helldivers 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and a heavily modded Witcher 3 with ease. The computer also excelled in productivity tasks for my work, such as reviewing and building financial models and light program scripting. The aesthetics of the Thermaltake LCGS View C i4790 are stunning, with impressive lighting that really makes it stand out. The high-quality components from trusted brands like ASUS and Thermaltake give me confidence in the computer's build quality and longevity. While the case is quite large, this is necessary to accommodate the substantial cooling, aesthetics, and airflow. The size may be a consideration for some, but for me, the performance and appearance more than justify the desktop's dimensions. Overall, I would rate the Thermaltake LCGS View C i4790 Gaming Desktop a 4.7 out of 5. The minor inconveniences with cable routing prevent me from giving a perfect score, but the computer's outstanding performance, top-tier components, and striking aesthetics make it a compelling choice for both gaming and productivity. ... show more

  • Poor manufacturing
The graphics card was poorly secured before delivery, and broke during transit. After returning it I did not receive a full refund and had to spend a month calling customer service to get my money back. Incredibly low standards of quality control at the company.

  • Fast computer - being replaced for power issue
Tech support is replacing mine for a power failure. Make sure you use their instapack if you have to return it and make sure you take and save a picture of it with the instantpack inside before you return it.

  • Failed out of the box
This item seems to be a great buy and at this price point, it should not be a no go out of the box. PC will not boot after 2 days of use. Went through extensive troubleshooting that included reseating GPU and RAM, unplugging all peripherals except monitor, changing power cable and power source, and resetting BIOS by removing motherboard battery.... NOW a replacement is not available until Dec 27TH - that's ridiculous!!! ... show more

  • Dont waste your time and money...Blue screen on arrival
Just received the Thermaltake LCGS View C i4790 and it arrived dead. I only get a blue screen when turning it on and it says it cannot be repaired... I would advice you to look somewhere else for a computer unless you want a very heavy paper weight.

  • Won’t connect to any monitor.
I was really disappointed after opening this colossus of a computer. Not really sure why but it won’t send a signal to any of my monitors. I’ve plugged it into multiple and used multiple display cables and still nothing. What a wonderful waste of money

  • It does what it's told, but it wants a massage
I understand the design behind this as the video card is frankly way too big. So it has to sit vertically to prevent it from being damaged. The big flaw behind it however, is that they try to add too many fans which obstructs the ability for me to troubleshoot when I need to. When you're trying to hook everything up, it takes a heck of a lot longer to set it up because you have to put it through vents. Additionally, if you use a TV or a KVM switch, you have to go into BIOS settings to turn off the F1 Error. If it doesn't detect the keyboard it will not boot which is a very annoying. Once you get that it's good to go and enjoy your computer. Note: I had hey USB hub on the previous computer and it had no problems. This one through a fit, when going into steam the mouse went all over the place. Once I shut down the hub it was no problem. Hope this helps for you all. ... show more
