By many reviews this doesn't have the same heat dissipation effects as on intel CPU, but it looks nice and keeps the thermal paste away from getting into those annoying carves when you apply/change paste. Seen similar products like this on YouTube that make the IHS even on AM5. One thing it only took two minutes to install and I didn't have to remove my CPU cooler mounting after removing the retention clip. Also when I first built the PC a few days ago the retention clip felt way to forceful. This is an aesthetically pleasing add on that's gonna make reapplying thermal paste a breeze to clean up. Temps have been better not by much but it's making a difference when heavy gaming.For $15 you're removing that retention clip so no more anxiety when installing or uninstalling a future CPU ... show more

Inexpensive but does does nothing considering there’s no issues with AMD and mounting pressure. Looks cool but gets covered up by the heat sink. May help with not getting thermal paste everywhere. Comes with thermal paste as well! I would purchase this again if I had the choice.

I just built a new gaming pc for my son and used this CPU frame for a 7800x3d chip. It was easy to apply with the included screws and has a nice tight fit. I don't know if it actually lowered the cpu temps at all because I didn't do before and after test due to it being a brand new system. I'm happy with it just for the ease of applying thermal paste though. ... show more
