This is such a fun game that will please kids of a wide variety of ages. It comes with foam mats that you lay out on the floor. We play it in a medium-sized playroom. It would work in a small apartment or a large room. It's a bit of a combination of classic "hot lava" and musical chairs. One player (or an adult) spins a spinner, and players need to move quickly to a mat of that color, without touching the floor. The player to reach their new mat last removes the mat that they immediately came from. Some mats have a question mark, and players who land on such a mat complete a challenge card (for example, waddling like a penguin or pretending to lift weights). This is a great way to get kids moving indoors, and would be a great purchase a cold winter stuck indoors with active kids. We actually bought this for my 3 year old, and so we adapted it for his age a little by not removing the mats as we go. He loves the challenge cards! This would be a great game for a classroom or to use at a party -- it could work with a good sized group of kids. However, the quality is fairly poor. I was hoping the mats would be thick and non-skid, but they're the same kind of craft foam you could purchase at a craft store. The spinner needs to be assembled, and both the spinner and challenge cards are a little flimsy. So far, it's held up, but I'm not sure the game will last forever. Got this for my nieces and it wore them out! I played it with them but the smallest tiles are really too small for adults, I might get the other version that is for adults too, might have more larger tiles and I'll just combine them. Eventually I got tired and just sat on the couch and became the spinner and card reader. They usually take a few hours after going to their room to fall asleep but then konked out like 20 minutes after getting in their bed. Really fun game, I'd highly recommend it but keep in mind the smallest tiles, there are three sizes, are too small for adults so you can't really play it with them. ... show more

The game looked like it had been returned, nothing in bags and one of the cards was missing. My grandson loved the game so I didn’t want to take from him to return it. Loved the game but a little disappointed that it did not appear new.
