Sooo I know the lighting of the photos isn’t the best but they are all before then after, after about 2 weeks. The last one is me made up. I feel like my pores and overall texture of my skin is improved. I was able to go into using this basically once a day immediately because I was using Olays purple rentiol night cream prior to(idk how much retinol is in that product but it may help to transition into actual rentiol treatment). I had no dryness, peeling or serious breakouts. No complaints on scent either. I have to say I’m not the best at washing my face if I’m not showering so my nightly routine at bare minimum(cuz working 2 jobs as a single mom means we ain’t got time for much more than that) is remove the makeup, rentiol oil to soak in for about 15 min, then moisturize(store brand cetaphil). Always making sure to put spf primer on in the am before makeup as well(elf suntouchable). I’m about a month into this routine with no complaints. Hope this review helps y’all! ... show more

    • Great Product, but Ingredient Concerns
The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane is an effective, budget-friendly retinol product that has delivered noticeable results for my skin, but there’s one big drawback that keeps it from being perfect. Pros: Affordable: High-quality retinol at a fraction of the cost of similar products. Effective: Helped smooth my skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines over time. Gentle formula: The squalane base is hydrating and minimizes irritation compared to other retinol products. Cons: Ingredient concern: The inclusion of BHT (a preservative) is disappointing. I prefer products without this additive, as there’s some debate about its safety in skincare and ability to disrupt the endocrine system. Overall, while the performance and price are excellent, I’m hesitant to repurchase due to the BHT. If this doesn’t concern you, it’s a fantastic choice for incorporating retinol into your routine. ... show more

This is the best retinol I’ve ever ever used. It almost feels like an oil-based so obviously when it goes on my skin, it feels super super hydrating. The only thing I would say is that it takes a long time to actually absorb into my skin and then put moisturizer as my last step. It takes a while in between I can do those but for the price and for everything else, I don’t think I’m gonna be looking for another retinol for quite some time. ... show more

    • Know About Retinols Before Using
This product is fine when used correctly. The box states to use this product everyday and if you know anything about retinols, you know that’s bad advice haha. I made the mistake of following instructions and it made my skin super irritated and red. If you use it 1-2 times per week, it’s fine! Just disregard the box instructions! ... show more
