Quality backpack, worth the money

I used my old North Face Slingshot backpack for nearly 18 years, so it was time to upgrade. I always liked the design of the Recon and chose to purchase this backpack. I've never seen the navy backpack in person, but since it's my favorite color, I pulled the trigger. When I received it, I was surpri
sed by how nice and sleek it looked. All the compartments were thoughtfully designed and are practical. The soft material they used for the interior of the front compartment is perfect for phones, glasses, and other things you want to keep safe. The backpack was bigger than expected, and is more than adequate to carry my everyday work items. The straps are comfortable and sturdy. The external fleece-lined pocket is a huge upgrade from my old Slingshot strings that could only carry clothes. I don't use the buckle straps, so it does look a little sloppy at times. However, you can adjust them so they're not in your way. The bottom of the backpack looks durable and it's very unlikely any holes will form in the future. Since my old backpack lasted so long, I'm confident this one will last longer. Overall, I think it's a quality backpack and I'm getting more than I paid for.

Heavy, well made pack great for laptop storage.

This backpack weighs over 3 lbs unfilled. The laptop compartment is really nice, well padded and convenient. The downside is that it limits the size of the main compartment for packing travel items. I would definitely recommend the pack for buisiness and student packing but for day pack use, there ar
e other choices tthat work better. The North Face gear is very stylish and well made. I am glad I made the choice to own this pack specifically for traveling with a PC.

Replaced my old work bag, scored it for $60. Very nice and comfortable. Not much organization except for front admin pouch but fits maxpedition pouches nicely.

My son had this backpack since 2018 and now it is so old and I got him a new backpack with different color. He loved this dark blue and liked the new style. It is very comfortable, great quality, beautiful color, reasonably weight and perfect size for school and travel.

This fantastic backpack from North Face is perfect for every occasion. I use it daily for work, taking my food, and supplies with me. It also will get some use this summer while traveling and camping. This is the highest quality backpack I’ve ever owned, and im really happy I got this one!

This is a great day pack. I have an older model Recon (nothing wrong with it), but I needed another. It’s an all around general use bag, which is great for carrying your laptop and accessories. It also allows for enough room to pack for overnight. Delivered as advertised. Great response time
