During COVID quarantine I decided to make the most of the time and set some serious health and fitness goals for myself, one of them being to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. It’s been hard for me to track my water consumption in the past because I just take drinks here and there out of smaller bottles and it’s a pain to keep track of how much. With this, it’s super simple; fill it up at the star of each day and drain it by the end (preferably before 8pm so I’m not running to the bathroom all night). Besides the fact that it has totally simplified my goal and kept me 100% on track since I’ve had it, the bottle itself is AWESOME!! It looks super cool and chic (I have never gotten compliments on a water bottle before until I got this), ultra light weight (which is great because the water weighs enough all on its own), DOESN’T LEAK (it’s passed the test of getting thrown in the back of my trunk), the water stays colder longer thanks to its own personal little wetsuit, the spout is the PERFECT size for drinking (not too small, not too big) and isn’t made of that gross silicone that I hate on water bottles, the bottles doesn’t taste weird, seems super high quality and well made, and the carry strap might be the best feature in a water bottle that I’ve ever had!! The handle is awesome too, but the strap is just soooooooo convenient! I keep my bottle in the bottom of my fridge door and grabbing the strap is the easiest way to pull it out and carry it around. I really look forward to taking this with me to the gym after quarantine but have already taken it with me to run around the park and just driving around town. I haven’t experienced any issues with the quality of the materials used as others have mentioned, specifically with regard to the cover, but I will update if I do. The only thing to note that isn’t necessarily a con is if you’re too aggressive with your drinking or tip it back too far, you will get splashed in the face by the air hole (which often whistles while I drink as well). Again, it’s not a con because the bottle HAS to have an air hole so the flow will be smooth, but because of where it’s placed, you just have to be careful not to tip it back too far or too fast when drinking. Pro tip: I have also recently discovered Stur water enhancing drops and LOVE to add them to my keg to make drinking this much water a little more enjoyable. All it takes is 2 squirts for the whole jug and it tastes great! In summary, this is water bottle has been the difference between keeping my water goals and not and looking/staying cool doing it! I use this thing everyday, all day. Ever since I've gotten it I've been drinking and re-filling it constantly. I love it and it's constant reminder to drink water. Due to this constant use, my lid wore down and broke. However, the bottle itself is completely fine. There was no way to contact The Gym Keg people on amazon so I took my issue to their website. I told their customer service that my lid had broken, but my bottle was fine. Within the next hour or two I got a response and a replacement offer from them. I should be receiving a new lid soon and I'm a very happy customer. The only complaint I could possibly have is that when you're drinking from the lid, if it's at an off kilter angle then the hole designed for air flow has the possibility of dripping on you. It's a necessary hole so don't worry about it. There have been many times that, while driving with the Gym Keg in my passenger seat, I've braked suddenly causing the thing to fall over, even on the car floor. Not once has the seal popped off. Bought this for work and the first one arrived damaged. Looked like it had been smashed, possibly in route. It entire neck of the bottle was broken off, so I don't know how that reflects durability. That being said, I had a new one immediately shipped to me at no cost. That one has worked very well for me and I've had no issues. I do recommend a wash before use. The cossie is very well made and keeps the bottle insolated. I've had cold water stay cold for close to 2 hrs. Might last longer but I usually finish by then. If you take it off, the bottle does have measurements on the side, which is very helpful. It would be great if it had it where you could easily see it, rather then take the whole cover off. Also, the bottles does obnoxiously whistle when you drink from it. This can be avoided if you use a large straw (bendy silicone works best for closing the bottle) or basically poor the water into your mouth rather then seal your lips around the mouth peice. Otherwise, it definitely sounds like one of those fake bird whistles. You will get looked at. ... show more
