  • Therapy in a Book
I'd been having trouble. It was at times excruciating. Worry worry worry. I also had a panic attack on an airplane. That was tough. I called a couple of therapists which took a lot of effort. One never called me back. The other called back and said they were booked. I needed help. I got this book hoping it would provide some relief until I found a therapist. Now I won't be needing a therapist. This book explains that there are various types of disorders or problems whatever you want to call it that are defined as anxiety, and each individual needs to be treated individually. A good chunk of this book walks you through a process to help you identify what your problems are. From there it goes deep into your soul giving you exercises to help you identify the root(s) that are causing these problems. And then it helps you work through the root causes. It also provides some tools that you can use to address anxiety and panic attacks on the go. This book helped me. I've had some episodes since, and I've used the tools in this book to address them. What could have been a month or more of anxiety was avoided. I would not recommend that you do what I did. If you have an anxiety problem or panic attacks, then see a therapist. But if you must use this book, then I recommend that you be totally committed to it. Do what it says, and don't skimp on the home work. ... show more

  • Very helpful and useful workbook
Love it, gave me a lot of great tips to use and has helped me improve already. Only a few days into it and I'm understanding much more.

  • Incredibly useful - daily tool for practice
There is a quote by Winston Churchill that says “Misery is the way out of hell.” No matter what your reason moving away from anxiety is hard. I bought this for my sister who did it everyday while in the hospital. I ended up using a copy for myself. It’s work going through each chapter but I think it’s incredibly comprehensive - it even touches on meditation and mindfulness. I think this book - as opposed to others - really digs into the day-to-day pitfalls of the anxious mindset without getting too technical. It’s a hands on real life tool which is what I found most helpful. If you’re looking for a real world daily practice workbook this is it. If you’re just looking to gain insight or information I’d probably pickup a more academic read - this is for hands-on work & practice. ... show more

  • So helpful!
This is an amazing workbook! Of course, it’s not a cure all, but it’s an incredibly insightful guide to managing and becoming more aware of anxiety! It makes me feel so much better to have something that I can come back to when I feel the anxiety coming on. I’ve learned to be mindful of and lean into my anxiety and not try to shut it out. I would say that it isn’t necessarily an emergency solution, but it’s great for long-term anxiety management. ... show more

  • Great if you can do the Book!
Book was ok. When one has anxiety this book is difficult to read and apply oneself to accomplish the tasks.

  • Great tool for professional or individual
In my experience, this is a great tool to use as a professional as well as a great tool for individuals to use! Easy to read, easy to follow for the anxious mind, and helps connect the dots between skill set and regulation.

  • So great I bought another copy for my friend
I LOVE this book. It has helped open my eyes to the various layers of anxiety that I experience and provides a way to cope. My friends also struggle with serious anxiety so I bought a copy for one of them to use. I feel like this is an essential tool that can be used along with regular therapy.
