We switched to this brand about a year ago when the brand we had been using for the entirety of our pets lives, Whole Earth Farms, was discontinued. Our cats and dogs have always been indoor and outdoor pets and during the time we used Whole Earth Farms fleas and ticks were a non-issue. But when we switched to another brand it was crazy. We fed them one other, very expensive brand before going with Merrick and Merrick helped with the fleas but they are still an issue. I found out that the company that makes Merrick also made Whole Earth Farms so I don't know why they stopped making it. But I saw somewhere that it may be coming back. If so we will likely be switching back. Otherwise, this is a good brand and I would continue using Merrick. Also, we only do wet food if one of ourpets need it for some reason. Tried a number of other cans for our kitten. Most gave her stomach upset. This is by far a favorite of hers, scarfed down vs coming and going to eat throughout the day and never caused her and stomach issues.

Kitty isn’t real picky, so she ate it all up! Grain Free! Solid ingredients. Oddly, the food was really dry (for a wet food) when I opened each can. That was strange and disappointing. But reasonable price.

We switched to this food when the only food we had ever given our 2 cats recently was discontinued. It was another food by Merrick so I believe the ingredients are similar. Both of our cats eat this and also the dry version of this without any signs of upset, refusal or getting sick. I'm really happy to be able to continue a high quality diet for them. As a side note, neither of them shed hair hardly and that did not change with this food. I really believe Merrick makes a great product we can trust with our fur babies. I had bought this when my cats were kittens and they didn't like this at all but since its on the local rescue organization wishlist, I buy this when it goes on sale. If its on their wishlist then I would assume its a good product. Check on Amazon on special events as these get reduced to a good price and it would be helpful to donate. ... show more
