I chose to use this setup for my baby chicks this year, for the last 6/7 weeks and it held up great! Here are my pros and cons with it! Pros: -Airflow on the sides and top helped cut out the smell tremendously -Heat plate worked as intended, and loved being able to raise and lower it based on chicks -The price of this setup really can't be beat -Fairly spacious until chicks reach that 5-6 week mark -Love that it packs away easily for next year! -Easy to clean, just use a small trash bag and scoop out all the bedding you can, then just use the mat when most of it is out and dump it in the bag. (Some bedding will go under the mat too) Cons: - After the first week or two, you will definitely need to buy a bigger feeder and waterer -When you use the side zipper for running the cord of the heat plate through, somehow every day there would be a small opening in the zipper. So you'd need to rezip it fully so bedding won't go out. -I had 8 chicks in here until fully grown and it started to get really tight at the end. I wouldn't put more then 10 in there. -The mat for the inside is definitely not the best as lots of bedding will find ways under it, but it's not too hard to clean Overall I would recommend this product to anyone whose planning on 10 or less chicks, especially for the price and functionality of it. ... show more

We put 25 week old chicks in this brooder setup, and it's worked great. They're going to grow out of it very soon (a few weeks now), but it's held up well. The heater unit has been fine with ours and the chicks really use it. The feeders that come with it are kinda small and useless if you have more than a few chicks. So keep that in mind. Also, the removeable pad really is pretty useful for bedding changes. Ours is tucked away in the corner of a large bathroom and fits great when we don't have a lot of room otherwise. So let me start out with this is a great size for chicks the is great price and it is well made. I really the zipper top so they can’t jump out. The water and feeding items are not so great I purchased lager ones with multiple holes for the chicks to eat at once. Cleaning wasn’t bad with the mat to lay down. The heat box was decent but really small for the amount of chicks we had will work good for about 5 baby’s. Solid but I would recommend. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have 7 chicks I'm raising in this. It's so much cleaner! I use doggie pee pads on the bottom which by the way has an extra bottom piece so you can just pull it up and out. It allows you to dump out pee pads and pine shavings. Every week I transfer them into a box and hose this out. The chicks hatched April 1st and they still have plenty of room. I wouldn't need to rinse it but it should be shaken out because of the amount of dust that chicks make. I'm not sure I showed it on my video but it also has a window or door on the side when they're ready to get some outside the enclosure time. The fabric is like kite type fabric. Easy rinse and dry, sturdy enough too. Love it! ❤️ My cats have all checked it out and my chicks remain safe too. ... show more

We LOVED this collapsible brooder! It was spacious enough to hold our 12 chicks until they were old enough to go into the coop. Easy set up and is SO SMALL when folded up that storage is a breeze! Highly recommend!

There is NO WAY this brooder accommodates 15 chicks past 5 weeks unless they are bantam. It's moderately easy to clean and zipper top allows hanging waterer through top. Bought 2 would not buy again.
