The tiniest minnows are actually able to eat these flakes and while the flakes are large, just pinching them before dropping them in the water crumbles them easily to small size flakes. My fish have been eating this food always. They are over 8 years old. Great appearance of their color. Food quality is great I will use no other. Easy to pour I just cut small section out of foil top.durable canister. No smell and water stays pretty clear. Soft food for them to eat.
