Love the quick ignition, but have had it 7-8 months and it's really rusty. I wish I'd bought a cover for it. Buying one now and having to do some anti rust treatment - real shame.

The media could not be loaded. My family and I are seasonal campers so from the begin of May through to mid October we spend alot of time at camp. There are nights where it gets chilly I havr wanted a patio heater for the past year or so since I started seeing them more and more. After a bit of research I ordered this heater. I can say this is a sturdy unit. I put it together myself in about 30 minutes. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. Since we haven't started camp yet I put this together at home to make sure everything worked properly. I assembled it and planned on attaching the propane tank the following day. I placed a cover over it and pushed it as close to the house as possible. It was a little windy at night and the wind took it over. ๐Ÿ˜ณ it bent the whole deflector on the top. I unscrewed it and remived it, my husband was able to bend it back and it was hardly noticeable it got dented. I placed a propane tank to it and tested it to make sure it worked and it sure does. It provides a great source of heat, we were pretty impressed. I let it cool down then placed the cover on it and put it back against the house. The next morning it was on its side again, there was no damage thought so that was great!. For now I have taken the whole top off and placed it in the garage so it doesnt get damaged. It does include spikes and brackets to mount it to the ground. I am not sure how we will secure it but it definitely seems to be top heavy even if you have weight in the bottom. I didnt take off any stars as they do include an option to secure it and I didnt. It is my fault. The unit went over 2 times and still works great so it definitely gets two๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ up from me! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This patio heater was purchased to replace my previous online basics version that had tipped over that resulted in a damaged deflector cap and heater unit. To assemble this by myself and take photos with videos for this writeup took about 45 minutes. The most time spent on this was putting together the large silver deflector cap, but all the other steps were simple. The instruction manual and bagged components was the game changer that I wish more manufacturers would consider following Terra Hikers example for instructions and bill of materials. There was no need for me to try to figure out which bolt length thread and number of pieces were needed for each step of the build. Every bag was labeled in order so you only opened the bag of parts when I was at that step in the manual. The manual was written in easy to understand steps and included black and white clear diagrams. The base has the option for spiking into the wooden deck or ground but I decided not to use those my setup. To prevent tipping when not in use I also use a webbing clip and fasten to my deck railing. Turning on this heater and ignition works everytime time! No need to worry about too much gas and only hearing clicking with no flame, this heater works everytime I tried lighting it! ... show more

    • One Heater to Rule Them All.
Not only does this heater have a slick modern design with a really cool visual burn glow at night. It heats the area around it better than any other heater Iโ€™ve ever been around. I use it on my patio when itโ€™s only 5 degrees at night during a Colorado winter and everyone on the couch or chair are very comfortable. Almost forgetting weโ€™re in the dead of winter until you step outside the heat radius. I highly recommend this heater instead of the other styles at the price range. I even bought a second one to use around the smoker grill when I feel like BBQโ€™n in winter. ... show more

    • Nice addition to a patio!
This patio heater is a nice addition to any outdoor seating area. I like that it is made from stainless steel as not to rust from being outside in the elements. I am going to look for a cover for the top it would have been nice if it came with one for that specific heater. I like that it is very tall so that you are not that close to the burner. It is very attractive looking for on any patio or porch. I also like the fact that it is lightweight and easy to move with the wheels that are on the bottom. It does throw quite a bit of heat out I could feel it standing at least 6 to 7 feet away from the unit although it hasn't been very cold out yet to put it to its real test The directions are fairly easy as to putting it together it only takes a half hour. I recommend this heater to anyone that enjoys the outdoors and wants to extend being out there even in the cooler seasons. ... show more

    • Nice heater but built with thin material
The heater is built with very thin medal especially around the base and will dent very easily. Otherwise it is a nice heater and does a good job.

    • Doesn't radiate much heat
They claim 15 mins to assemble and it's more like 45 mins and the wrench they give didn't work. The heat is only good for a few feet.

    • Works great, when it lights up
I don't know if my igniter is defective, out of place, or if the design is bad, but half the time I hold down the igniter button with the gas going and nothing lights. I can hear the hiss of the gas (and smell it) and the igniter is sparking, but nothing will catch. This is in conditions where there is no wind. Eventually I might get lucky and a mini-fireball will erupt from the thing (though I only try up to five seconds before stopping to prevent larger explosions). Once it does light, it does pretty well to warm the area around it. It's just unreliable. ... show more
