  • Good alkaline replacement
Size: 4 Pack
I've replaced all alkaline batteries in everything I own with Eneloop NiMH for AA and AAA, and these for 9v rectangular batteries -- no more leaks. These hold their charge very well so they're suitable even for devices that you use only very occasionally, and their capacity is comparable to an alkaline battery. I've been using them for some time and haven't had one fail yet. ... show more

  • Rounded edges, like traditional alkaline
Size: 2 Pack
I'm intrigued by lithium primary batteries, for devices where you change batteries yearly or even less often. There's much less risk of a leaking battery damaging the device, than with an alkaline. (If you change the battery more often, you may want a rechargeable. But rechargeables have some self-discharge, so they don't last as long in very-long-battery-life devices, like remote controls, or sporadically used tools.) I was intrigued enough to buy an Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9v when I saw it at my local drug store, even though it was over $20 USD for one, which is not economical. But there are a surprising number of devices where it just doesn't quite fit! And it's because it's boxy, with sharp corners. Often 9v battery compartments have at least 1 slightly rounded edge, and the sharp edges of the Energizer means it's pushed a half millimeter too far away from that edge, and it's uncomfortably tight, and stressing/bulging plastic doors or clips etc. This product, the Tenergy 9v Lithium, is described as being slightly small so to fit better, and the edges look rounded. Also it's much more reasonably priced. So how is it? It's better! Still a slightly tight fit in some devices, but significantly better. I got out a digital caliper to try to confirm the cause. The LxWxH of this Tenergy is actually not smaller than the Energizer Lithium, it's 0.1 to 0.2 mm larger, but so is a energizer Alkaline. But the max diagonal length, as suspected, is 0.7 mm less on the Tenergy than the Energizer Lithium, because of those rounded edges. An energizer alkaline is another 0.7 mm less diagonal than the Tenergy, I guess alkaline is even more rounded still. Both of the Tenergy Lithium batteries I received provide 9.5V with a 17 mA current draw (9.7V unloaded). So far looking great, long term we'll have to see. For the better fit and better price, I really like these. ... show more

  • Longevity is very important especially for fire alarm systems. Did not have expiration date
Size: 2 Pack
I used them today in two-alarm systems. The batteries do NOT have an expiration date. I expect it to be 10 years. They seem OK package and voltage wise. Giovanni Bolgiani

  • Batteries working just find.
Size: 2 Pack
I think the packaging was very secure and kept the batters free from premature draining. We'll see how long they last. Other 9 volts last about a years so hope these do as well if not better.

  • 10 year life will be nice if true!
Size: 12 Pack
Hard to rate since they were recently installed in my smoke alarms. Many of my smoke alarms are very high up and a major pain to replace batteries in. If these really work 10 yrs., that will be great!!!

  • Not living up to the hype
Size: 8 Pack
I bought eight of these to install in smoke detectors that were a year old. I figured it would be less expensive than swapping out alkaline every year and putting these in every five. Two days after I put them in, two detectors were chirping! Pulled the batteries, put in alkaline ones, chirping stopped. Of course it was at 2 AM. Tested the Tenergy ones, volts were low and load test, weak. I called, the fellow was pleasant and told me to write a email with all my info. I did. I got a response asking for more info. I gave that. Then another email telling me the batteries are fine and that it must be my detectors! The ad also claims the batteries are 'date stamped'. Not true, mine have no date, no serial number, nothing. Such a shame as I bought these based on reputation, So if you buy them, know you are taking a gamble. I'm concerned that the ones still installed,. will they last? Should I of bought Duracell or Eveready Li batteries instead, from companies that are more customer responsive? I will probably end up returning these. ... show more
