  • Trim edges cleaner would be good.
Style: Deer Net
4 of 5 rating because of the edges being cut unevenly. This makes it look cheap.

  • Recommended, with caveats
Style: Deer Net
Worked well to fence my garden, but it was a PITA to install evenly. It stretches in a localized way more than I expected so getting a clean result was very time consuming. That said, once installed I’m satisfied with the price for keeping the deer out. I used stainless braided wire and turnbuckles anchored to eye screws to run top, middle, and bottom tension lines. These lines (or something like them) are recommended by the manufacturer on their YouTube install videos and the product packaging as well. It’s hard enough to get a good looking result with these tension lines, taut tension helps to keep them from looking slack and sloppy - don’t skip them if you want your result to look any good. I made a 6’ tall fence and let the excess fold outward into the yard at the bottom, then landscape staked that down and zip tied it to the bottom tension line. Should be rabbit proof if you do that. The last thing that I want to mention is the deceptive naming of this product. I thought I was buying their sturdiest plastic fencing, but this is actually their light/“seasonal” material (found “seasonal” printed on the package, didn’t see it anywhere prior to purchase). They call it “heavy duty”, which I believe is marketing nonsense - if you want the real heavy duty product that they offer, it’s labeled “extra heavy duty”. The only reason I’m not more upset about this is that it’s working for my purposes, and the other one costs about double so it’s a trade off. I just hope “seasonal” doesn't actually mean less than at least 2 years or so because installing this cleanly was obnoxious. TLDR: this is light duty, if you want heavy duty look for their “extra heavy duty” product. This stretches a lot locally so it makes installation obnoxious, and you must use tension lines to get a decent result (which does add a lot to the cost depending on how you go about those lines). The package says that this is “seasonal” fencing so consider this when deciding, it’s not on this listing page as far as I could find; you might want to get the “extra heavy duty” variant. Recommended for the cost though, and it’s doing the job. Edit: spelling errors. Fence is still working great as of 2/24/2021 ... show more

  • This might save my marriage! (and my blueberries)
Style: Deer Net
We have a 30 foot row of blueberries and the robins love them. They will strip the bushes if we let them. We have purchased the normal bird netting and it is a nightmare to put up and use. It snags on everything and is cause of constant frustration. This new netting is way sturdier and is easier to install, work with, does not snag on the blueberries (as much) and is overall a joy to use. Only slight downside is the cut ends are a bit poky and need to be trimmed flush. Overall, WELL worth the extra cost. ... show more

  • Seems to Be Working Well
Style: Deer Net
We have a severe deer problem, and we had to add this fencing in the middle of winter, which was not ideal, but we had no choice. Once up, it seems to be doing the job. It is stffer than some, but not really stiff - but it is fine for our application. I thought it was a little overpriced compared another brand at our local Fleet Farm store, but they ran out. ... show more

  • Has been effective for the past month.
Style: Deer Net
The largest challenge to mounting this fencing is finding the poles to mount it on. My solution was to use sets of 2 five-foot metal U posts bolted together. I see deer in my yard every day but, so far, none have attempted to jump the fence into my garden. From prior experience, I expect this material to last a number of years before needing to be replaced. One final note: I have added solar led string lights at the top of the poles so the deer can see the fence in dim morning and evening light. My garden looks like a circus tent all night long, and that isn't so bad because the lights are dim and away from the house. ... show more

  • Keeps out deer, but not rabbits unless you dig in
Style: Deer Net
Ok so I have an acre long thin back yard. My husband and I fenced off about 350feet of this in our back yard to prevent the deer from coming in. It certainly prevents the deer from entering, they walk up to it and walk away. Keep in mind we have two neighbors within 50-100 feet on each side so I am not out on a large open space of land where deer may be running and jumping. This is the roll that is folded in half but seems strong. We did have a deer hit by a car in the road out front and it seems that another deer with it was spooked and ran into our fence. We used the 7ft tall metal posts from Home depot to hold it up (recommend 8ft instead if you can find them as the top flops over) and an area between 2 bars (about 10ft apart) was bent down to the ground. I pushed the metal posts back up to straight and the mesh fence was fine. A couple small rips but I just zip tied these closed. Now rabbits are another story. We left 1ft at the bottom of the fence along the ground laying away from our yard. Initially this kept animals out but then the grass grew and pushed up the mesh. We had to cut into the sod in a line and push the fence mesh into this hole and then use short metal u-shaped stakes (find at home depot or here on amazon 75 per box) and use this to reinforce. This works great and keeps the rabbits out too. so far no chewing through the mesh but I have read on some websites that they may do that at which point you reinforce with chicken wire. ... show more

  • The best project ever for protecting your fruit trees from birds ruining your crop.
Style: Deer Net
We use this on the fruit trees in our home We use this on the fruit trees in our home orchard. Oh my gosh. It was fantastic. It doesn't get all Stuck together, tied up in nuts, or act like velcro when it's on your tree. It's Very sturdy yet let's all the light in. So freaking easy to work with. It may appear more expensive than you're used to paying. But if you're 1 of us who have to put netting on the fruit trees to save your crop from being destroyed by the birds, this is your product. It's so sturdy you can use it season after season. And like I said it is so easy to work with. I'm actually going to buy more for next season to replace all the wimpy " bird netting" that ties itself in knots and everything else. Fantastic product. ... show more

  • Keeps away the deer and other rodents
Style: Deer Net
I've had it up around my vegetable garden now for about a month and it's done its job. No holes or tears and nothing has gotten in to eat anything. It is relatively easy to handle although you may need two people to keep it taut. I used staples to keep in place and seems to be holding up well.
