  • Great for Keeping Pests Out of the Garden
This netting works for my particular situation. It surrounds two planter beds on T-Posts, and does a great job at keeping deer, rabbits, and squirrels out. Consider more of a deterrent, because it is rather thin, but used in conjunction with some other items, works like a charm. It will tear easily, but is easy to install. I like it, and would recommend it. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT way to wrap shrubs to protect from deer
Works much better than burlap for wrapping your evergreens to protect them from deer. Used them last year and put up again to day for this year's protection. Last year we did not manage them well, as they are large and hard to see. But this year went much better, and like how it doesn't destroy the looks of the tress over the winter. So we see our evergreens rather than burlap tubes! ... show more

  • Good netting for what I needed
I actually got this to put around my metal fence that my puppy can slip right through. You get a lot of of netting with 10 metal stakes and 50 zip ties. I could have used more of the stakes for the amount of netting. For my use, I cut the netting because I only needed it to be 2 feet high. It cuts easily and I used the ties to attach to my fence and the stakes to hold it to the ground. It works perfect for keeping my puppy in the fence and hopefully it will help keep unwanted critters like skunks out. I would think it would work just as well for its intended use. I think this product is well worth the price. ... show more

  • Exceeded my expectations
I live in northern Michigan and the deer and bunnies will eat your garden vegetables quicker than you can say "Detroit." Last year I planted habanero and jalapeno peppers because they leave those alone. This year I expanded; added green beans, brussels sprouts, tomatoes. There is no way they are going to leave those alone so I invested in this deer fence netting. I was a bit skeptical about it after reading the negative reviews. Some reviewers claimed it is hard to use, too thin to be protective or even seen by deer and other nibblers so how could it stop them. I didn't really want to invest in a fence though, or even metal chicken wire. Things are expensive these days, yes? Even though gardening is a hobby, I like to at least break even on my costs with what I harvest. I just put this netting up, so I can't comment on its long term durability or whether it will stop mammalian pests from eating my vegetables. But, I will say this product really impressed me. The netting is VERY strong , flexible, and surprisingly easy to put up on the T-posts I am using as anchors. When I opened the box and saw the netting all rolled up into a 2 foot roll I thought, "now you've had it." My first thought was this is going to be a disaster trying to unroll that netting and get it to go onto the T-posts without creating a tangled mess. Fortunately, I was wrong. It unrolls without snagging or getting tangled during the unwinding process. I would just recommend you think before you act in putting this up, and take it slow. I didn't have a second person, but if you have one available, it would make it easier. This advice is important, because there are no instructions or videos to watch. I read some reviews that said the animal pests could not see the netting because it is so fine. I can see that being a problem, so I put some orange survey ribbons on the netting at various heights and intervals around the perimeter of my fencing. They hopefully should be able to see that. Also, the netting kit includes zip ties and large staples that go into the ground to better anchor the netting. I used it at the top and bottom of the netting once I unwound it to tighten things up. I am very happy with my purchase overall. I think for $18 it is a good value. ... show more

  • Not the best deer netting
Every year, I go to battle with the deer in my yard. I have tried everything from deer repellent, soap, lavender, and cayenne pepper. Then I decided to try this deer netting. Finally, I thought my beautiful perennials would survive the grow season, but I was wrong. The netting is extremely thin and a chipmunk could break through. I watched a buck chew right through the material and eat my daisies. After losing some of my current flowers, I have tripled up the layers and crossed layered the netting, to allow the open squares not to be as visible to my yearly flower enemies. This netting performance overall is not the best, but when you layer it several times, it does prevent the deer from eating your precious flowers. If you only do one layer as I originally did as advised, it’s flawed. ... show more

  • Exceedingly Pleased 😊
This is my 4th order this year alone. In the pic we used bamboo already growing on the property and had this large area fenced-in in an afternoon. (The white posts have nothing to do with the netting.) I never expected it to keep deer out, but it does. At least so far. I suspect they can't see it (you can't really see it in the pic nor irl - until you're almost upon it) {(which can be entertaining if you have dogs or uninformed adult children)}, and when they (the deer) run into it, it confuses and frightens them away. The cost is reasonable, imo. And I'm grateful. If costs were higher, I wouldn't be able to make and keep the several planted plots I have; nor make more. The only downside is that it seems to be a magnet for snakes. Some appreciate a dead snake, but I appreciate a good one. (If you have good snakes, you usually won't have poisonous ones.) But I avoid this by learning to clean up after myself. As long as I pick up scraps and leftovers, I am usually okay. I once left the "door" open, which mean a pile of the netting was on the ground. That was two hours of my life snipping a large, ungrateful chicken snake out of netting that I'll never get back. Oh, and it also rebuffs a big family of enormous armadillos that have moved in. So, so far, I'm 💯% pleased!! ... show more

  • Thin netting, time will tell
Some netting is heavy duty so you can really re-use it. This is very thin so only time will tell. Was strong enough to put up. The deer usually attack some of my shrubs over the winter and so far this has deterred them.
