I purchased this on a special promotion ( I already have 3 other ones ) so I could bring and leave in Florida for the winter months. It is somewhat a basic watch, with front., middle and back range as well as hazards. Already preloaded. I compared it to my Bushnell and Garmin watches and used my range finder to compare. This watch is as accurate as my $300 Garmin and it Busnell,I compared it to other people watch and found this to be absolutely spot on. Very easy to operate and locks in quickly to the satellites.     • Great Easy to Use GPS
I received my ULT-G three days ago and have used it for two rounds already. This is my third Golf range finder device and the easiest to use. It is simple, accurate, and quick to provide distances. I have a TecTecTec VPRO500 laser golf range finder that works great. I checked the distances shown on the Golf watch with the laser range finder and found the distances on the watch to be very accurate. I also use a Neo Ghost. I like the watch better than my Neo Ghost as I don't have to fumble around in my pockets looking for the watch and the ULT-G golf watch provides readings faster. All three devices come up with the same distances. Due to its accuracy, speed, ease of use and ready availability on my wrist this range finder will become my go to golf range finding device. ... show more

    • So far so good
Played 9 holes using the watch for the first time today. Simple to use, seems to be accurate in comparison to my SwingU app on my phone. Only thing I dislike so far is it took a long time to find the course I was on. I played 2.5 holes before it finally linked up with the satellites. I'm playing 18 on Sunday and Monday. Will update after that Update- Used it a bunch more times, seems to find the courses better than the first time I've used it. There are a few features I wish it had that it doesn't , for example keeping score but it is meant to be a simple, straight forward gps. Mine had a software issue where it became completely unresponsive but tectectec support send a firmware update and in a few moments it worked again with no issues ... show more

I wrote this review in October 2019: “Great golf GPS watch, to this point. Easy, step-by-step instructions got the watch operational in just a few minutes. I've gotten to use it twice in 2 days now. Readouts are sharp and clear, even in the bright sunlight. It automatically loads golf courses near me and is incredibly precise regarding the distances. I have (another) GPS device AND a range finder, and all 3 devices were +/- 1 yard throughout the courses I played. The watch is comfortable to wear, less awkward to handle than the other devices (which i have dropped, lost, and left in carts or on the course), and seems to be very durable (I tend to overswing occasionally). I am EXTREMELY pleased with my purchase. Thanks TecTecTec.” UPDATE: My watch quit working properly recently. I sent an email to customer support which was answered within the hour. A very nice person named Isabella provided me with directions on how to reset the watch, and, when that did not resolve the issue, provided a return authorization and detailed instructions on how to send the watch back for repair/replacement. Isabella was clear, concise, and professional, as well as extremely knowledgeable of her product.     • Great GPS watch for the money
I had been reviewing some of the more sophisticated (and expensive) rangefinders over the last couple of months until I played with someone using a golf watch. Can't remember the model but I was duly impressed with its accuracy and ease of use. I stumbled on this model, saw the overall positive reviews, and thought I'd give it a try when it dropped in price during an Amazon Lightening round. I used it at a local course and was impressed with its easy setup, good looks, ease of use and spot on accuracy. It found all the nearby golf courses I usually frequent and took just a couple of minutes to connect to the overhead satellites. On the con side, I found the recharge adapter cable a bit tricky to attach to the watch - you need good lighting and steady hands. Secondly, you can't switch over to time display when playing without exiting the round. Most people would be replacing their normal watch with this device so that seems to be an odd oversight (and really shouldn't be hard to implement). Battery life it stated to be a little over 2 rounds, which seems on the short end but sufficient for most golfers. Overall this suits my needs perfectly. A quick glance at the watch and I'm dialed in - no need to pull out the more expensive rangefinder and optically line up the flag. Being a mid-handicap golfer, I don't need the extra functionality that the higher end rangefinders provide. Only time will tell about durability but so far so good. ... show more

    • Great value, great performance!
I had been using a Golf Buddy but the charger connection failed. I had purchased an optical rangefinder from TecTecTec 6 months ago so when the GPS Watch was offered I jumped on it. Has performed perfectly (accurate distances - even close to the pin). Design is a bit thick but would prefer that as it appears to be very rugged. Now problem with sweating around the watch band. Also easy to change courses and holes on each course. All-in-all, great product. Have worked with customer service in past and I am confident that TecTecTec will address any problems! ... show more

    • Great device until it stopped finding my course
I loved this gps watch until it stopped finding my course after only 5 months; it now just searches and searches. Very easy to operate and it holds a charge for over 2 full rounds. Very sad that it didn't last. Update: So happy to report that the folks at Rangefinder were extremely accommodating and ultimately addressed my problems to my complete satisfaction! ... show more
