The Techwood Hot Plate Portable Electric Stove is a fantastic little appliance that delivers excellent value for the price. I’ve purchased several of these over the years, and overall, they’ve been a reliable and convenient addition to my kitchen at home and events. First off, the performance is impressive. Comparable to commercial electric stove. With 1500 watts of power, this hot plate heats up quickly and provides consistent cooking temperatures. The adjustable temperature control works well, allowing me to fine-tune the heat for everything from simmering sauces to boiling water. The compact and portable design is another big plus. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up much space, making it perfect for small kitchens or even cooking for events in tights spaces. The stay-cool handles are a thoughtful addition, making it safe and easy to move the hot plate around, even when it’s been in use for a while. However, I’m giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 because of its durability. While most of the units I’ve purchased have worked well, one or two had a shorter lifespan than expected. They stopped functioning properly after about a year of regular use, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the majority of them have held up just fine, and for the price, I still think it’s a great deal. Overall, the Techwood Hot Plate is a solid choice for anyone looking for an affordable, portable, and efficient cooking solution. The store light would only turn on when it’s above the “min” heat, but at “min” heat it’s already pretty hot. There’s a sticker on the top stated the stove is hot but is not a live warning. You don’t know until you put your hand over the stove. If you have little children, I don’t recommend this for you. The wire is short, so I need an extension even for the power outlet under the dinner table. It takes a while to cool it down. This is a good price, and the item works.
