The picture quality is exceptionally clear. It took some time to set everything up, but it works wonderfully. I appreciate having a hard-wired ethernet port, and I might run an ethernet line in the future. I still can't believe how sharp the picture is; the photo doesn't capture its full quality. There is no lag between apps at all, unlike some others who mentioned experiencing lag. I suspect their lag was due to their internet speed. I’m using AT&T fiber with a 1GB speed, and my Wi-Fi typically measures around 400 Mbps. The remote control is oddly shaped; it resembles a long, skinny nightstick. I have always bought Samsung but wanted to try and save some money and decided on this TCL 75 in. I am not disappointed, the tv is lightweight for it's size and set up was easy. The picture quality is very good and so is the sound, it has 2 speakers at the bottom and I don't need to use my sound bar for normal daily viewing. The remote also works well and is easy to use, there is a slight delay sometimes but that doesn't bother me. There are video and audio adjustments so you can fine tune it to your specific taste. I bought this on sale for just over $500 and I am very satisfied, I didn't want to spend over a thousand dollars for a big name brand, so if you want to save alot consider this brand tv. ... show more

Pros: -Great crisp image -Vivid colors -Great price point (especially during Black Friday) Cons: -Horrible remote (not a problem really for me since I'll be using an Apple TV 4K) -Speakers are HORRIBLE. Absolutely tinny sounding. -Built in FireTV has slow response when working with the remote. -TV settings being roped in with the FireTV functionality seems limiting Overall: Buy the TV if you need a cheap but decent quality TV. I'd recommend investing in a soundbar if you plan to use this as a main TV and not a "sometimes" or spare TV. I paired this nicely with a Sonos Beam Gen2. I'd recommend getting this TV if you plan on using another streaming device such as an Apple TV or Google TV instead of the onboard FireTV. ... show more

I typically like TCL products! This one has problems though. I was impressed opening the box and plugging in the TV. The setup through Amazon was seamless and streamlined. The video is very good. I'm no TV connoisseur, but it was a big visual step up from my 5-year old TV. Installing additional apps was buried, but once I realized how it was organized, I was able to do everything I wanted. Then, I noticed two problems: 1) The first one wasn't a huge deal, so I was prepared to overlook it. Despite the input menu showing that there are component video inputs, there are none on the TV. I have an older device I'd like to plug in, but it's not a requirement. BUT, the fact that their UI shows component video tells me that TCL is not careful with its quality control. That's a warning sign! 2) This is the big one: My external sound bar does not work, despite having an ARC HDMI input (and the TV as well). I was able to at least see the volume OSD, but it's perpetually stuck on 49 and there is no sound. No matter how I fiddled, I could not get sound to work. Then I saw other reviews that mentioned this problem. I really want to keep this TV, but without the sound bar support, I guess I'll have to return it. I'm really amazed that they let a problem of this magnitude out the door. I'm disappointed that I spent this time one something that I won't be able to use.     • Picture's great but maybe it's just a wee bit too "smart". TCL Product Support is superb.

It doesn't work well with a Logitech Harmony remote (or any infrared remote for that matter); the remote can only turn the TV on and off. After that, it's wireless only (almost certainly to enable the Alexa connection). There is a free smartphone app which works reasonably well with the TV. If you're an Alexa fan, you'll probably love this TV and its remote (don't expect highest quality from the included remote). Having FOUR hdmi inputs is a plus. It also works well with your attached soundbar/receiver, but won't control them other than to turn it on/off with the TV. CEC allows your playstation/xbox to turn the tv on when you power up your gaming system, and the tv automatically goes to "gaming" mode when it gets all booted up. All in all, I'm happy with the tv; I've been just leaving it set to the input of my attached roku streamer (which does work with my logitech infrared remote). ... show more
