I have only one other “cheap” battery to compare this to but this is the superior one. It’s built well a far as I can tell (I can work for several hours without an issue but is it pro quality? I really can’t say) as someone still very much learning and trying out the wireless option I am totally happy. It fits on pen machines and I can use it with my direct drive (hybrid old design) machine with an RCA and punch in solid, bold lines. Again, I’m NOT pro, just having fun but Ross works great so far ... show more

I’m a tattoo artist and it last me for days! Without having to charge it! Because things can get so hectic I forget to. 12/18/23 About six or so months after my first review, the battery stopped working completely died on me won’t even give enough power to run my machine.

I purchased this battery to go with my CNC Q2 machine and I absolutely loved the combo. The machine is top notch for the price and should be in every artists bag simply because the quality and price. The battery that I got worked amazing and didn’t have any issues whatsoever. But there was one hiccup, when I needed to plug the battery in to recharge the battery didn’t seem to charge. I used the micro USB that came with the battery and it still wouldn’t charge, I tried other cables and they wouldn’t charge the battery. The funny thing is that when I took the battery out of the box when I got it, it wasn’t fully charged so I used the provided cable and it charged the battery no problem. So I don’t know what went wrong... I carefully cover the entire machine while I’m tattooing so there’s nothing that could damage it from that, I protect my machine and battery in a padded carrying case so even if I was to drop it while in the case nothing should be damaged. I think I might have got a defective battery or the connection to the charging cable might be defective, I don’t know. I hope Hawink sees my review and the message I sent them and sends out a new battery to me because like I said, when I did use the battery it was awesome and works flawlessly. I would still recommend this product to someone looking to cut the cords and go wireless because it’s a great battery. And even though I did get a defective unit I would 100% buy again and that’s why I gave it 4 stars. It would easily be a 5 star product if I didn’t have the charging issue and I don’t blame Hawink because small electronics do sometimes have issues during shipping due to the size of the box it ships in. These batteries are so nice. I used one all weekend at a convention without charging one time. Was still at half power at the end. Ran mostly at 8v. The only complaint I have is that the connection does get loose after attaching and pulling off all the time. I just spread the center pin slightly with a razor blade and gently squeeze the teeth back together with pliers every once in a while. Had these batteries over a year and still going strong. A little bulky. Feels slightly awkward. Haven’t tattooed with it. I like the other hawink battery a little better. This does not show time. Seems like a bigger grip on machine and battery would be fine. All in all worth the money. Anytime you can cut a cord….do it.

For the price, it's a great intro battery. It was quite loose in my pen machine, oftentimes spinning around or cutting power out entirely. This can be fixed by wrapping it up in grip tape, but it'd be nicer if it didn't need that. The battery life in my experience is EXCELLENT. I've used it quite a bit for practice (no real tattoos or long sessions yet) and I have yet to recharge it. The voltage increments aren't super refined (the jumps between volts is a bit larger than I'd like, but its ok), but definitely great for starting out to get a feel for things. Overall, decent battery but I will probably upgrade in time. ... show more
