But I ended loving it. It's been so soothing to my new tattoo, and it's greatly decreased the itching. I tried cocoa butter based on recommendations and it irritated my skin. But this has been so soothing. I will say that it does leave a slight tacky feeling. But otherwise I love it.

Ok I loved this product. First and foremost even the box is pretty. I used it to spruce up some tattoos on my arm. The moisturizer comes out in a gel and spreads quite easily. As you can see from the picture it brought out the pigment in my tattoo and created a fresher look. The moisturizer comes in a decent tube and a little dab will do you. The gel is clear and I didn’t notice much of a scent if at all. Rubs in and absorbs quickly with a nice gentle rub. I don’t have any fresh tattoos, but I’m pretty sure it would work for those. I am using this aftercare gel on 23- and 5-year-old tattoos. The gel is light and refreshing, no stickiness. The product absorbs very quickly. There is almost no scent, perhaps a light "green" scent probably from the aloe. Immediately after application, the tattoos seem a tad brighter. I am typically very good about staying moisturized, but I am curious to see if a nightly application improves the overall look of my ink. ... show more

This stuff is great for helping to heal fresh tattoos as well as moisturizing and brightening existing ink. It goes on smooth and absorbs nicely. There’s a pleasant scent to it. The packaging it clean and overall the quality of this stuff is nice.
