So far there is nothing to dislike about this frame. It is the most solid bed frame I've ever owned. I'm A big guy over 6' and 200 + lbs. This frame doesn't move or make a sound as I move around on it. There are some reviews that complain about it speaking only after a few days, but they must have not put it together right. It comes with a set of directions that show you easy to follow pictures on how to assemble it. It took myself and my son about an hour to set it up. I like how the main part of the frame folds in half. That will come in handy if we ever need to move it. It has great support for all types of mattresses. You don't need a box or box spring but if you wanted to you could use one with it. I recommend using a shortened box though as the frame does sit 14" off the floor. The underneath area is an ample 12" plenty of room to stow away your gear ect... I don't think you can go wrong if you are looking for a solid frame that will hold up for a long time. In all I'm very happy with it and will buy this manufacturers frame again if the need ever arises. A big two thumbs from this bed bug!! ... show more

This is the most sturdy bed frame I’ve ever had. The instructions were clear, although some of the items are not labeled with their letter. The only thing that isn’t super easy about assembling is they are all hex screws. It’s all done by hand. The cool thing is the black plastic that comes in the packaging you can use to give more leverage for the hex key. It took me about 2 hours. Bed doesn’t make a single noise now. ... show more

The instructions could have been a tad clearer, but otherwise easy to set up. Took 2 hours max. I’m roughly 380lbs and the bed feels very sturdy. Doesn’t creak when I get in and out of it. My husband is a big man. He's spent the majority of his life being very cautious with things that I've always taken for granted (beds, chairs, etc) because he was afraid of breaking them. We've had a great memory foam mattress for about 5 years and initially it was incredibly comfortable. However, the box spring took a beating. I've always wanted a metal headboard as I like the general appearance, so when I began the search for our new boxspring, I was secretly hoping that it could make financial sense to just buy a new bed. Enter this! First, it arrived in one box. Fedex delivered it to the door of our third floor apartment. I was able to manuever the heavy box inside and begin assembly before my husband got home from work. Assembly was easy. I consider myself to be fairly mechanically inclined, but even if I were not, the instructions provided enough detail that I think anyone could put this bed together. The design is fairly brilliant, I think. It makes for one of the most sturdy pieces of furniture I have ever seen, while also being very pleasing to the eye. I appreciate that the "slats" are also metal, and while they seem thin, they are well supported by the frame itself. The only con that I can find after sleeping on this bed for several months (and dissassembling, moving, and reassembling it once), is that it squeaks. It's not a lot. It's not regular. It can be tightened back up and is better for a time, but it does squeak. With metal on metal, it's going to happen. Our boxspring on our former bed creaked. I kind of expect it at this point. If you can't live with minor squeaking, this isn't the bed for you. But if inexpensive, sturdy, and strong are high on your list, this is what you've been looking for. ... show more

Size: King Style: Headboard and Footboard
This bed was delivered on December 17th. I had a death in the family thus I didn't put it together until new years eve. It is now January 15th and it squeaks worse than any bed frame that I've ever owned. It shakes upon climbing into it and I completely regret this purchase. Not that it matters since the bed is supposed to have a 3000 pound weight limit, but I am heavily pregnant weighing in at around 220lbs and my partner weighs in at about 190lbs. These are common weights in the US and shouldn't be enough to make the bed frame this unreliable. Our mattress is relatively light, being just a standard king. Not a pillow top, not a gel or memory foam, nothing. There is no reason for this frame to be so pitiful given the bare minimum that it has had to do for a product boasting a 3k pound limit. ... show more

    • Are you kidding me?!
I purchased a "new" bedframe (queen), yet, what I received seems to have been used! The back of the headboard and legs all had scratches, and the side rails had scratches and dents! When attempting to assemble the frame, the bolt holes looked as though they previously had bolts in them, and the worst part is that the 4 bolts for the headboard were the wrong size! I had to go to 3 different hardware stores to find the correct size bolts, but of course, no black ones, so I had to purchase 4 silver bolts for the back of the headboard! When assembling the bed slats, most of the slats do not go entirely for the middle of the bed to the outer frame-there is about a "pinky" width gap. I'm hoping this does not cause issues with squeaking, or worse yet, having the slat braces snap off! I was hoping to order this frame in king size also because I do really like how it looks, but now I doubt I will :( ... show more

    • Careful with the Assembly Labeling
Bought the queen version of this with headboard. For the price, it was worth it. Luckily no damage on product when it arrived. Only issue is the manufacturer actually had assembly instructions incorrect with the stickers . For example, stickers "A" and "B" were listed but you had to use stickered parts "C" and "D" instead. Someone at the manufacturing plant screwed the labeling up. Assembly, despite this mistake, was still simple. I was fortunate to have the pre-drilled holes actually line up with other parts but some people who bought this did not. I'd still recommend this affordable bed frame. ... show more
