The only thing is the front piece that is attached to the handlebars with the characters on it, is thin plastic and has broken off. This was an easy product to assemble. Generally very good quality except for the plate on the handle bars is very flimsy but as this had no bearing on performance I didn’t take any stars away. My daughter is 3 and absolutely loves this bike. It’s so far standing up to her falling over from time to time and is perfectly aligned still. It is a little heavy but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. ... show more

So this bike came with an owners manual for a different bike, one with handbrakes. The difference between an owner's manual and an instruction book is that the manual doesn't tell you how to put it together- it just names the parts. Fine, whatever. It's a kid's bike. How hard can it be? I got to work putting it together for my kid's upcoming birthday. One pedal went on fine. The other had to be forced, and getting a grip on it was difficult since the pedal itself spins while you're trying to tighten a bolt in a very small space. It definitely looks like that bolt was slightly bigger than the other. Finally got it on. The front wheel, seat, and training wheels went on without issue. Then it came time to put on the handlebars. If you've never seen this done, I wish you luck and recommend you check YouTube. That's what got me through this nightmare. The box didn't come with an Allen key to tighten it, so I had to improvise with a makeshift one while trying to hold that awkward metal piece at the bottom in place while simultaneously inching the Allen screw around with a file piece on my multi-tool. Almost broke my multi-tool trying to get it tight enough to turn the wheel without the handlebars coming loose. I can already tell that it's going to have to be retightened often. Now that the bike was finally assembled, I flipped it over to check how well the back tire turned. Given the quality of the rest of the pieces, I wasn't shocked to discover that it's super tight. My 4yo is definitely going to get a workout trying to get this thing to move, but I'm hoping it loosens up over time to make forward motion easier. Honestly, I expected better from a Nickelodeon branded item. It's too late to send it back for a replacement, so I'm hoping this thing actually lasts for more than a few months. UPDATE. We've had the bike for about two months. The pedals fall off no matter how many times I tighten them and the handlebars are constantly crooked. No amount of tightening has fixed either issue and I am beyond mad considering how much this bike cost. ... show more

I purchased the Paw Patrol Bike 16-inch Wheels in Blue. It came in 8 pieces, 9 if you count the plastic front plate. 1. Frame with rear wheel attached. 2. Seat 3. Handle bars 4. Front tire 5. Right pedal 6. Left pedal 7. Training wheel 8. Training wheel 9. Plastic front plate Didn't need the instructions to put together as it was pretty straight forward. Adjustable crescent wrench was the only tool used. There's an end cap on the handle bars where it inserts into the frame that needs to be removed. It doesn't just pull off so it was a little fiddly cutting it off without scratching the paint. The box arrived damaged, I assume during shipping, but no noticeable scratches or dents to the bike. Most pieces had sections of paper or cardboard as protection and secured together to prevent rubbing. Overall I'm really happy with the quality and easy assembly. Side note: There is a very similar bike for less at Walmart but only in the 12" wheels. However I did notice that bike came with a horn. I ended up purchasing a blue bike bell on Amazon for about $5 which I figured my grandson would get a kick out of (even if it's irritating to the ears). ... show more

The instructions really suck. It's like they're not even for this bike so I had to look up a video on YouTube. I couldn't get the training wheels perfectly even with the back tire so it's a little wobbly. And it's extremely hard to pedal it and turn it, like everything came way too tight with no explanation on how to losen it. It was a gift for my sons 3rd birthday and he seems to like it... just just hard to pedal and turn and the wheels don't turn easily so everything is very tight... ... show more
