  • Go to honey
Leatherwood honey is my 'go to' for my tea's. It's likely a strong honey for some and hijacks the flavor of the tea but I absolutely enjoy the flavor. I have many flavors of honey in my collection but always go to this one for my 'treat'.

  • My new favorite.
I've been on a real honey quest. I stumbled upon a giant, half-priced bottle of unprocessed Australian Eucalyptus honey and couldn't believe how good it was/is (went back and bought them out). Have been using all of the processed, local clover and sunflower honies from the cupboard in baking, tea or coffee just to get rid of it. No wonder I never understood what all the fuss over honey was about. Of course honey is good, but if you happen upon something that opens your eyes to the fact that all honey isn't created equal, well, then you have a financial problem. Australian Eucalyptus has been my favorite by far since finding it. It's the only one that holds up (in a good way) in my strong morning coffee. This particular Eucalyptus adds another good dimension and long finish. But now we have this Tasmanian nectar of the gods to contend with. OMG! I almost sent it back because the tin is crushed and lid was off (but there's another seal under the lid). SO happy I kept it (who knows when I'd spring for this price again). I just this morning opened it. There's certainly another honey out there I'm going to love but it's hard to imagine loving anything more than this. Floral, complex, not cloying, no sour notes, gorgeously rich and creamy (I generally prefer thick but pourable, however, the texture of this honey belongs with its flavor). Everything about it is brilliant. This is going to be my Christmas present to all friends who appreciate beautiful things. ... show more

  • OMG! Da Best!
I love honey and let me say this; I was hesitant to purchase any honey from abroad but took the chance based on the reviews. I am so so happy I did. This honey has a very distinct taste, texture and aroma. The aroma is sweet and flowery and taste is smooth and superior. The best honey I have ever tasted! I am also impressed with the seller as the honey arrived earlier and no damage whatsoever. I usually eat plain Greek yogurt with lots of honey.; my favorite dessert. And trust me; if you are a honey connoisseur, you will not be disappointed. Ignore the other bad reviews; please. BTW this is the cheapest you will find this particular honey! ... show more

  • World's most unique honey.
I heard about leatherwood honey on a couple of TV shows about Tasmania, one of which was Gordon Ramsey's show. Wow, does this product live up to it's billing! The honey has a distinct floral character and comes across as slightly spicy. The product comes in a beautiful tin container with a foil seal to insure no tampering and was well packaged. I will definitely be buying more when my supply runs out. Five stars. ... show more

  • Great honey. Bad packaging.
THE GOOD: As honey lovers know, this honey has a strong, and to me, wonderful smell. It is more like Japanese incense than a floral scent, and some find it just too strong, but I love the unique flavor and scent it adds to my tea. THE BAD: The beautiful tin was simply sealed in a simple, unpadded ordinary plastic shipping bag and mailed. Actually, to give them credit, they did put a strip of electrical tape across the lid to keep it from popping off. I received it with 7 rim dents and one had deformed the top so the lid did pop off, partially held in its position by the tape, but the honey was luckily secured by a foil inner seal that stopped a HORRIBLE mess from happening, had it gotten hit or crushed just a little harder. The last time I ordered this, it came inside two padded bubble wrap bags, one inside the other, and it STILL got partially crushed. It is a shame to have to throw away such a beautiful tin and put this classy honey in an old pickle jar. At least double wrapped it might have prevented leakage in case of rupture. This new Amazon source charges $3 more and ships with NO protection. You can count on getting a damaged product, so be prepared with an old jar to put your new honey into, if you are lucky enough to receive it partially intact, instead of ruptured and leaking everywhere. My advice is DO NOT ORDER THIS until reviews say they have changed their shipping procedure. It really needs to be shipped in a box, as they did 3 years ago. This source is seriously endangering the mail system. Honey is a hazard when spread out in the cargo hold of a jet, or a postal conveyor belt, or even an Amazon truck. It could take the postal or Amazon workers DAYS to clean up. ... show more

  • Heavenly
I am into novel foods and I got this and some other more rare varieties of honey I had read about. This honey is the best I have ever tasted. It is very unique, it tastes the way the sweetest flowers smell. It goes great on toast, in tea, on berries, and by itself. When you open the tin, there is a strong smell of flowers that fills the kitchen. I will be a buying this again and again. ... show more

  • Awesome flavor!
This is amazing honey. Clearly raw and the flavors are really unique. Definitely floral and light and you won’t mistake this for any other honey you’ve tried. I have been trying various types of honey and this is in my top two favorites. It’s so good I actually like to just eat a spoonful randomly when I walk by it. :) ... show more

  • Best Raw Honey
Absolutely the best raw honey ever! A bit pricy but worth every penny. I won’t ever go back to any other product even the best offered at specialty stores here in the US.
