My ammonia and nitrate was through the roof n my 20 gallon. I used the product and tested it a few hours later and it brought it down to almost zero. I used a little more, according to directions, and tested it a few hours later and ammonia, nitrate and nitride are all zero. Fish are well, plants are well. no smell. Simply outstanding. Works perfectly fine for chlorine and ammonia. Sad thing is I bought this because it advertises lowering nitrites, but from what I have seen on my tests this is not the case. As you can see In the picture provided, the first test on the right is before any was added. The middle one is after half a cap was added. And the one on the left was the last tested after another 3/4 cap was added. This tank is 10 gallons so it shouldn’t need that much. You can see in the tests (included with chart, second line shows nitrite levels) that the nitrites not only haven’t changed at all, they’re still in the dangerous levels. Wish this would have worked for the main purpose I bought, but the reason I’m still giving stars is because it does work fine as a normal water conditioner. ... show more

Well I’m not a scientist so it seems to be doing it’s job. My fish seem healthy after several days and my water parameters seem to be fine after doing all my water tests . After a few days knowing I over fed and over stocked my tank , there was some ammonia I wanted to neutralize knowning I was going to change some water the next day. I used a little for that purpose and it definitely helped me out. It neutralized the ammonia for the night and after the water change so far so good . ... show more

I use this to de-chlorinate my swim suit. It's sooooo much cheaper than the branded "swimsuit saver" products, and it's just as effective at removing the chlorine smell and protecting my suit against chlorine damage.

I use this product for Flash, our 4 year old goldfish who resides in an old school fish bowl on the kitchen counter. I have had issues with water changes before and we e almost lost Flash a few times! This product is great! I add 1/2 a cap to a huge pitcher of water and let it sit for a full day-I know it says u can use it right away but I am cautious. Flash is always sooo happy to have his water changed with this stuff-he swims around so fast. It’s a notable difference from other products I have used in the past. Also the water is so clear! I was having a problem with nitrates and nitrites... maybe over feeding... but I couldn't get my water balanced. I added this conditioner and my tank is balanced and crystal clear... and no sulfur odor.

I really like this better than seachem prime, no smell to it and it works just as good, and i like its consintrated, a bottle last awhile, don't feel like im always buying it, great product at a good price!!
