Absolutely loved using this sprayer. I already had the Ryobi 18v batteries (4 of them). I had a pretty big playground project to paint for my kids. This helped me get the first layer of paint on it. I first brushed and rolled primer but the sprayer was to get into the crevices and corners that were hard to reach with a brush. Keep in mind this is a handheld so we had to add pure water (such as distilled water) to the paint to dilute it or else some paints are too thick and it won’t spray well. We took a bit to perfect the dilution but once it did it helped make the product fly by really quickly. I plan to use this sprayer for my kitchen cabinet makeover project in a few weeks! Great value and easy cleanup of the paint holder and nozzles. Very easy to use. 5 out of 5 stars. Just make sure you have plenty of the ryobi 18v batteries charged up as you will go through them if you have a big project that takes all day. Looks great too cuz it matches my ryobi tools even though it’s not actual ryobi brand. ... show more

    • Works Well for the Price - Really Easy Clean Up
I've had several of these entry level (Cheap) paint sprayers over the years. I was intriqued by this one over the price and that it's battery operated. You definitely need to water down the paint and you need to use the high amp batteries. I use Ryobi batteries. The mid sized nozzle ran a little bit splotchy. I moved down the fine nozzle and it worked well. Took a little longer, but a nice finish. The greatest thing the sprayer was the clean up. It was a breeze. I always use paint bags, which saves the clean up of the cup. I used a straw cleaner for the tube. The internal sprayer doesnt take up much real estate. I put it in the mop sink and just ran hot water through it. It's not perfect, but for the price, the fact that it's cordless and easy clean up...... I'm pretty happy. ... show more

    • It works and it does accept ryobi batteries
I bought it not that long ago, and recently got to use it in a nightstand project. It works, but something about this tool tells me it not going to last. It could be my bias towards the quality of the tool. Nonetheless, It is simple to clean, and it's nice that it includes a brush. There are different tips size that is included in the package. It's a spray gun so it's simple to use just pull the trigger. It seems to spray glob of paint, so I had to dilute the water based paint a lot. But it comes with the territory when working with paint. I am glad it does use Ryobi 18 volt batteries because I have a good collection of their tools. My final thought are that it is decent sprayer, it works, and simple to use. Would I recommend it not really, but if you are willing to fork out the dough which is not a lot go for it. If not save up and get a better quality paint sprayer. ... show more

    • Sprays large droplets despite being brand new, clean, and using the correct paint.
I tried this several time with each different nozzle and made sure everything was clean. The sprayer will work but regardless of any settings, tends to spurt out large droplets of paint no matter what you change. And the air compressor sounds very strong and it can spray a fair amount of paint and then just by continuing to hold the trigger, it goes down with less force and then back up by itself. I have a feeling this one has some sort of electrical issue. ... show more

    • Wow! Exceptional Product!
I have used sprayers with compressors, but find them difficult to use, noisy, and a problem for interior projects (plus a little scary, to me). This sprayer is VERY easy to use and control, fits the Ryobi batteries perfectly (use the big ones, this does suck down the power) and has several tips and settings to control spray. I had no overspray and was able to nicely get those groves in shiplap. Also, as I started with a roller for the flat surfaces (to save battery use), wherever the roller had skips in coverage, I came along with the sprayer to get a great even finish. It is simple to set up, and most importantly, very easy to clean (literally 2 minutes). You can do very detailed edges with this, so with a little painters tape I did zero brush "cut in" for the ceiling and door frames. Pro-tip (although I'm not a pro): using the bigger battery is heavy, so use one hand underneath the paint tub, and adjust the spray trigger sensitivity to make it easier to hold steady. Does it do a good job? Sure. Do the batteries last very long? NO! If you get this, make sure you run hot soapy water through it first to get all the grease out of it. This little project took two full 4AH batteries

    • worth the money
This product worked way better than expected. I've used it a couple times with oil based and latex paints and have had no issues other than the plastic used for the siphon seems susceptible to degradation with the use of harsh solvents. In all honesty, it probably mentioned this in the user manual, but I just jumped in and used it like any other sprayer. I haven't used this thing for anything that requires a perfect finish, but fences and outdoor benches accept the paint well and the texture looks good enough. Also, added bonus, I crank up the airflow on this thing and with an empty paint cup I use it to blow off dust from some tools like a cheap mini blower. ... show more
