We have a problem with our basement always feeling damp, so I have wanted to run a dehumidifier to try to help that. This humidifier is too small for our whole basement, but it is big enough to run in some of the rooms down there. The dehumidifier is easy to use, you plug it in, press the power button and all of the buttons and options light up on the screen for you. The buttons are easy to press and the dehumidifier gets started right away. I’m a little bummed there are only two fan options, low 1 and low 2, I’d like it to run a little higher to work a little harder. I guess I would need to get a heavier duty dehumidifier for that. The reservoir seems a little small, but so far we haven’t filled it up. We don’t have a drain nearby where we want to put it, so we can’t use the hose with it, but I appreciate that it comes with two different lengths of hose, depending on how you want to hook it up. My favorite feature of this dehumidifier is that it detects the humidity in the air as it’s running and you can monitor it and program it to stop at a certain humidity or turn on at a certain humidity. I think that is just a great feature. The instructions warn about the unit possibly building up with frost, but we haven’t had an issue with that at all. The device is a little heavy, but it is on wheels so it is really easy to move around. I wish the cord was a little longer, but I can always use an extension cord with it if i need to.     • Sturdy and works quietly
My basement is always humid when the heat is off and since the windows are so low to the ground, we just keep them closed all year round. Great that I got this dehumidifier for my basement. It works quietly but well. I like that I can set the humidity by myself on it. My previous one is only on/off without other options. Also, I have washer in my base and has a drain on the floor. It comes with a tube and it can connect to the drain so I don't have to worry about emptying the water tank. The humidifier is much heavier（about 25lb roughly）that it took a little effort for my husband to bring it to the basement even with the carry handle on it.     • Resolved quickly and painless. Replacement unit was as it should be.
The seller/manufacturer resolved my concern quickly and was painless for me. I was for sure correct in my assumption that the first unit was not the normal situation. Raised the rating from a 2 star to a 4.5 star. ------------ 1st unit review ----------------- Looking over this dehumidifier without turning it on. **If no mold was inside of the unit and the box was for sure factory sealed. Let us hope that mine is just a one time thing. Pros: Solid construction. Power cord. Drain tube. Cons: Moldy on the inside. Offering this unit a 2 star due to it's quality and hopefully only mine has mold. It feels much heavier than needed. In the past I had a 40 pint and it weighed less than this by about 1/4 to 1/3. Why is this one so heavy? This question remains unanswered. The panels and clear windows all seem to have been manufactured well. The assembling appears to be done properly. This unit has a very nice and long appliance grade power cord, which should meet the challenge of running this type of unit. Since I am very sensitive to a bunch of stuff, especially mold I did not open or turn on. Really bummed as everything else about this unit seems up to the intended task for which it was built and to which led me to order it. Would I order this again? No, I would have to shop for a different one. Would I be able to recommend this unit? Absolutely, not. Speculations surrounding mold: Theory one, I believe that much of the items that I receive have been built and sealed in a much more humid environment. Which leads to the moisture in the air becoming trapped inside all of the sealed components. Left to create condensation. This residual moisture promotes the growth of mildew and mold. Theory two, If or when this unit was tested it had not been left to drain and dry out properly. My hope is that anyone ordering this unit never has any concern about molds and does not find any. Also, that they are not overly sensitive to molds and will be able to wash it out. For me this is just not a possibility at all. If moldy hopefully no one turns it on and starts to use this prior to performing a proper cleaning. ... show more

    • Works really well to help dehumidify
Works as intended noticeably less humid after operation in the basement. Need to play around with the settings more as it would be nice to get an alarm when it has filled. Runs quietly that I don’t notice it upstairs but easily fills up at least once a day. Good value, works well, would recommend.

First off this dehumidifier has some weight to it and it's very sturdy. So right off the bat the quality is there! The effectiveness of the product is also good. My only complaint was the sound of the motor running. When I had it on level 1 it was bearable but when I kicked it up to level to the hum of the motor running was super annoying. Very professional high quality de-humidifier , display screen lights up easy to read very clear, low noise. Humidity gauge appears spot on , definitely wish the tank was bigger. Is on wheels for easy maneuvering it requires to sit for 24hrs in the area that it will stay before usage

    • A good little dehumidifier
I keep his dehumidifier on in the basement around the clock. It is small, lightweight, and having the option to drain the water by hose to a floor drain is a real plus. It is really quiet compared to a previous dehumidier. Overall, it does a great job of keeping our basement humidity levels down.
