We use this product for tabletop smores when we don't want to build a large fire. We use either small pieces of wood or pellets that are meant for the smoker, both work great. It is also smokeless which is great. The unit does get hot so you have to be careful handling it or making sure the kids don't get to close. This is a nice little fire pit. I purchased the wood pellets and they burn very well, however you have to add pellets often since their burn time is limited. Unfortunately, and contrary to what's advertised, there is smoke or soot expelled. Although it's not very obvious when burning, I noticed the white ceiling of my lanai had a soot stain over where the fire pit was burning. The ceiling was probably 6 - 8 feet above the flame with no danger of getting too hot (I measured the temperature with an IR thermometer and the temp was only 93 degrees), however it DID get stained from the smoke/soot. I have since, repainted the ceiling. Truthfully, the soot issue may really be the result of the type of pellets that I burned versus the fire pit itself. I still do love the fire pit, but in the future, I will place it on a small table with nothing overhead. When using a small fire starter block, the fire pit does light easily and provides a beautiful flame. I would recommend this item. ... show more

I LOVE this little fire pit! I initially got the table top solo stove one put after thinking over the $110 price I returned it. I found this one for $60 and figured it was worth the value. After having looked at the table top solo stove, this is the exact same product with a much better price. I used pellets and fire started tumbleweeds I got at target for our first fire. It was so easy! I filled the pit with pellets and that would have burned a long time! We didn’t need it for that long and ended up putting it out. It’s super easy to clean up since it’s so small. The kids loved making s’more and it even have off some heat. This would make a great gift too! Highly recommend! ... show more

i had been looking at there for some time so i decided on this one!! very easy to light...works well...i use wood in mine (regular size)) which needed cut down...altho pain in butt to do...very wroth it...wood seems to last a while

You’ll go through wood very quickly, but it works exactly as it’s described. Should note that it’s only smokeless if the wood you’re burning remains below the rim at the top.

When I got the actual product, I found that there was a lot of white foreign matter left on the black surface that couldn't be removed. It's very different from the picture, the workmanship is rough, the stand is very loose, and the whole thing looks like a half-finished product. I didn't want to use it and threw it into the corner for garbage disposal. Although it is cheap, I will not buy it again next time. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends.
