  • Works so well!

I had a hard time removing T-post that the previous owners left behind because they couldn’t remove them either due to the hard clay. Tried jacks and tractors but no success. This device took them out with ease!

  • One of those Must Have tools
Size Name: 24"
We have very heavy clay soil. In drought it sets up like concrete, so there are times I'm not strong enough to push the handle down and budge a post. But that's fine for me - weather like that is usually too hot to work anyway. After a rain - or water poured around a post - it's a wonderful, satisfying feeling to be able to crank a post out of the soil with this tool! This is a must-have farm tool! ... show more

  • Why didn't I buy this earlier...
Size Name: 36"
We used to raise laying hens 10 years ago, then my job put me on the road and we had to give away our little flock. We removed the chicken wire around our 1/2 acre chicken yard, but left the T-posts and the larger corner and main posts. I've been mowing and trimming around those darn things for years. This puller arrived today and I popped 30 something posts out in no time. I've got one stubborn one left, but I'm going to wait for after a good rain. As others have said, you may need a wider support board under the foot of the tool in soft ground - say maybe 1/2" plywood (or a 2x4) platform. I didn't have any trouble today since has been a couple of days since a rain. I spent less than a minute and a half a post and someone in better shape could probably get each out in less than 30 seconds. All posts came out as straight as they went in and can be reused. The only dinger I would give the company is the lack of instructions. The easiest way I found to pull T-posts is to approach them with the 'knobby' side away from you. Move the puller next to the post from the left side so that the vertical portion is parallel to the post (the foot of the puller will be about an inch from the bottom of the post). Let the T-post ride inside the U shaped heavy metal bracket. Raise the long arm up, then slowly push the lever down until the bracket engages a knob on the post with the lever approximately horizontal to the ground. Apply pressure slowly downward and the post should start to move. Move the lever all the way down and then raise it up to catch a knob lower down on the post. At this point the post should be moving upward easier and easier with each 'jacking' motion. If you've ever used the bumper jacks from the old cars from the 50s/60s or a Hi-Lift Farm jack the operation should be familiar. Easy peasy after you have done a few. Just take everything slowly and make sure the bracket has captured a knob on the post before applying really heavy pressure. Don't place fingers or thumbs anywhere near 'pinch' points - and again take it slow at first until you have done a few. My mowing will be a lot faster now and I still have T-posts to re-do the chicken yard when we both are retired... This tool will probably outlast me. I still haven't figured out what the short chain and hook would be used for unless it would be for items in the ground other than T-posts. You can certainly apply a great deal of upward force with the geometry of the lever. ... show more

This tool makes it possible to do the work of 4 men alone,an amazing example of the physics of the simple lever.

  • Works great! Wish I had bought one sooner.

I use fence posts to hang shooting targets. When moving some targets around, my wrestling with the fence posts were, as Gorilla Monsoon would say, was like the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object. I was getting nowhere. First time I used this, took about 10 seconds to figure it out and it pulled them right up and out. Wish I had bought one sooner. I may use this only a few times a year but it is worth it. The right tool to do the particular task. ... show more

  • Wow, worked perfect

What a back saver! Takes 30 seconds and super easy. Glad I went this way after shaking the first back and forth to pull out of ground for over 30 minutes.

  • Even Better Than I Hoped!
Size Name: 36"
I purchased this post puller to help remove an old chain link fence. I needed to pull about 20 round metal posts that were sunk in the ground with concrete. I had to buy some chain and hooks to use with it and it took quite a few tries to get a good pattern on the chain to pull the posts out without slipping. Once I got it figured out, most of the posts came out with just a few minutes of effort. There were a few posts that required some digging to loosen and a longer handle would have been helpful on some of the harder to pull posts, but most came out easily. I thought I was going to have to pay someone to do the job or dig them all out, but this saved me a lot of effort or expense. I may never have a use for it again, but it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. ... show more
