I purchased it in white, and love all the number colors available. I thought it would just be a "vacation clock". But I am throwing my old bedroom one away. Keep the manul, because there are some things you'll need to refer to now and then. With that said, it is easy to use and not too complicated. You can adjust brightness, volume and color mode. You can customize your own snooze! My last vacation clock was stuck on 3 minute snooze. I hated it! I set this one to 11 minutes. Perfect. My old bedroom clock was loud and did not shut off on it's own. I was guaranteed to wake up. One of my concerns was that this alarm shuts off (after maybe 2 minutes?) and I might sleep through it. But you can set the volume really high. I have no problem waking up. If I would've seen one of the reviews before I purchased - about the sparking outlet - I would not have bought this clock. But I can say that I haven't had that problem (with the white version). I also have checked it numerous times to see if the cord or clock gets hot, and it does not. I recently been snoozing my phone alarm thats in the bed with me and then waking up late for work 😐. I decided to get something for my dresser so i HAVE to get up and turn it off. I have a few of these,none that could do RGB like this, but that's a gimmick I don't use. I stick it on CYAN and leave it at that. THOUGH... The ONE thing this does well than the others is it gets dim. I have it at such a brightness that I can see it in daylight, while not being blinded by it at night. My old clock died and I wanted something colorful. I was worried that the mirrored surface would make it difficult to read during the day. It's definitely easier to read at night, but I can still read it during the day no problem since the numbers are huge. I assumed that I would pick one of the solid colors for the under light and the face, but once I plugged it in, I decided I liked the default color changing setting.
