Noticed as soon as we opened the box and starting separating the pieces that the top piece of wood has two separate chips in the wood. Very unfortunate that it had to be the most noticeable piece of wood that was chipped, especially for the price.

This is a great product! There are some things you should know before you buy, though. First, it looks as pictured, is packaged well, and truly very sturdy. I’m going to use it as a stand for a large TV in my living room. Second, it is spacious enough for a litter box as well as a litter genie. One of my cats is old and somewhat claustrophobic, and he has no issue going inside and using his box. He’s ~8lbs. My ~13-14lb Ragdoll can also walk inside with ease. Third, I recommend lining the bottom because this product could last a very long time if kept clean. Assembly is OK but there are two things you need to know. You need to supply your own Phillips head screwdriver. The instructions are easy to follow but there’s an issue with the door that could make the product look less nice. It is difficult to assemble the doors in the exact right spot because there needs to be a space above and below thats equal distance, and no notches where the hinges go. I found something to wedge in but I highly recommend installing the doors BEFORE the rest of the construction. Specifically, you should lay the pieces down and connect the hinge to the door, and then line the door up with the side panel and attach the other side of the hinge. Make sure it’s in the same place for both sides. Then, if you do the rest exactly as specified, it will be even easier to complete the construction. There’s one step that’s slightly difficult to do alone but very feasible for one person who isn’t strong (like me) to assemble this properly and without frustration. I left the doors open for a few days to let my cats adjust. The doors stay closed nicely because there’s a little magnet that keeps them in without preventing easy opening by a human. Kitties won’t open it unless they battering ram the doors from the inside. I do actually have a fluffy battering ram and thus far no issues! Great overall! After reading the other reviews and now that I have had the item for a little over two weeks now, let me give you my take on this item. I purchased the black cabinet. 1. Lost one star due to no instructions included in package, BUT if you have ever put together any type of similar furniture, like a bookcase or a cabinet then you will be fine; it is not difficult. I put together without instructions by first laying out all the pieces, then reviewing the picture close up.....no problems. 2. You get what you pay for. At this price, I was not expecting some grand piece of solid wood furniture and neither should you. If you are, stop reading this review, increase your budget and move along. I will say, I am pleased with the litter box cabinet overall. It is sturdy, but I personally would not allow children, nor adults to sit on it or use it as a bench of some sort. Now I do think it could hold up to a small child sitting on it but remember, this is NOT what it was made for. 3. Ease of cleaning - it lost one star because I do think they could improve on this as it is awkward to clean going through the front two doors, but I just slide the litter box partially out - problem solved unless this would be difficult for you or the person cleaning it. In conclusion, I am happy with the cabinet. I have multiple cats who are large frame/tall cats and needed something that would fit an XL litter box (I don't use the divider;box is L-24in x W-18in) and stand inside and turn around. I also wanted the two access points. Most cats do not like to feel trapped and if there is only one way in, they usually won't enter. If you are looking for a budget friendly, sturdy litter box cabinet and something that looks decent, this is a good choice. Hope this helps. ... show more

First I’d like to say, all pieces to assemble came with the product and the packaging was spot on! Nothing damaged or broken. Fast delivery and well worth the cost of the item. The finished project is superb. My cats LOVE sleeping on it and using it. It makes for a great little bench for children and adults to put their shoes on or relax for a moment. (There is a weight limit so follow as directed.) I never write reviews but as a cat owner I understand frustrations to find genuinely good products and I feel this is one but has its own flaws Here are my pros and cons: Pros: -picky cat friendly - scared cat friendly -beautiful piece of home decor -contains odors from multiple cats like a CHAMP -little to no litter is trailed outside if a litter mat is also placed inside -easy to follow assembly directions -product is roughly 24lb and very solid. -cats enjoy using with no fuss and with a soft blanket on top, they enjoy sleeping on it. -clean up is EASY as litter isn’t all over the place and remains contained in the box. CONS: -the screw holes aren’t pre riveted so it requires extra elbow grease to get them all in and tightened securely. -while putting on the top piece of the bench, it slipped out of my hands causing it to fall and breaking off 4 screw locations. -assembly needs to be a 2 person team effort or just one very patient, not clumsy person. (The product broke slightly because of my own error but I was a little upset at how easily I was able to break from such a small error) -depending on how crazy your cat is, litter will spray out one of the car door holes. So it’s best to have a cat mat not only on the inside but also on the outside near the entrances. All in all, I found this to be a great product and if you have the patience to read the instructions and follow every step accurately, you won’t have any issues. Even if parts had been missing, they’re easily replaceable and common to find. I’d definitely recommend buying this product if you’re A) tired of cat litter box poop odors B) tired of a big litter box mess tracking through your house And C) tired of the ugly eyesore that is a litter box This product definitely suits its purpose perfectly and I’ll be ordering a second one for my downstairs living room. ... show more
