  • Nice Dew Heater strips
Size: 400mm
I bought several of these dew heaters for my telescopes and lens, and found them to be very well made, at a great value. They can be fitted snuggly around the tubes/eyepieces and remain fixed in place. Proper sizing [circumference range] for your intended use is critical, so make sure you purchase the correct size for your application [as they don't stretch (and shouldn't)] As a test, I tried strapping two units in-line to wrap a larger telescope tube and they worked great... just requires 2 USB ports. The included switch/temperature control is compact and very easy to operate. The nice little padded mesh travel/storage bags are a nice benefit too. I was skeptical that these 5v USB powered (vs typical 12v powered units), devices would be able to provide enough 'heat power' to defeat dew onset, but they work very well; and their quick/convenient USB plugs makes hookup (into 60W USB charging hub) quick -n- easy. They need just a bit more time to heat up as compared to older style 12v [higher amps] strip heaters, but they get the job done. Their value to benefit and build quailty is terrific, and I suspect that I should get multiple years use out of them. ... show more

  • Fits my 80ED and on high works pretty well.
Size: 320mm
If you need a budget low wattage dew heater this is a fairly good choice. Mine draws 8-9watts at max and will raise the temp of the optics (on high) by around 3-4 degrees when it's fairly cold outside (35'F). But that's pretty much it's limit for sure. However when running off a power station (296wh) I wouldn't want anything pulling more than that. Well worth the money, and works even better obviously in warmer temperatures. It also fits my 80ED dew shield, although I don't think you could go much bigger. ... show more

  • It works with my USB powerpack
Size: 240mm
I needed an eyepiece heater to combat the inevitable breathing induced fog that cursed my infrequent viewing nights...I am primarily a visual observer, and I have a few 2" eyepieces that plop into my dob for orgasmic stellar and planetary observations. Recently with the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter, my target was way low on my horizon and was only getting worse as the days ticked off to the 21st...was out with my wife in early December and we kept breathing on the eyepiece and it was super frustrating, so I researched and bought this thingy. It works well and plugs right into my USB powerpack that I've had for years. This one worked, while another type of heater meant for a more expensive battery setup did not work with my powerpack and an adaptor cord to USB (returning the other one, cause it was just an experiment to see if it would work and it did not warm appreciably). I don't need a dew-not or dewzapper system, when I have something that works very well with my USB pack...you mileage may vary, especially if you intend to use a 12v power supply for other things and justify a $150 power distro system. ... show more

  • Work well for the price
Size: 240mm
I was looking for lower priced dew heaters for my telescope and guidescope. I also wanted usb powered since I do not have a dedicated 12v system for managing dew heaters. For the price I went ahead and tried these and so far they have worked well on my Sharpstar 61 and Ioptron guide scope. I’m using them from a usb power bank and with the 3 adjustable power options they have worked fine for my environment. I’m in Texas so it hasn’t gotten really cold yet, but they work well in the current autumn weather. If you want a less expensive usb powered option, I would recommend these. Do make sure to measure your scope or lens and compare to the length of the heating element of the heater. ... show more

  • Nice objective warmer that gets the job done
Size: 240mm
No issues with this product. Works well and gives good peace of mind on dewy nights. The control mechanism is simple but effective and the fabric is soft enough that it won't leave a mark on the telescope surface, but also doesn't seem to pick up or retain dirt or other outdoor debris.

  • Does the job...sort of
Size: 320mm
1st think you should do is ditch the temp control "switch". It defaults to Off so you have to manually turn it to a temp setting when plugging in. You WILL forget to do this and it will be a night where you really needed this to work. It does the job it's made for. Suggest using it on your guide scope/finder lens. Don't bother getting one for anything larger then a 60mm lens though. It's not the products fault necessarily but the fact that it is USB powered, which is limited to only 2amp. That isn't enough power for keeping a 70mm or larger lens clear of dew or frost on a fall/winter night in the Midwest let alone in colder or more dewy climates. You need a 12v dew heater for those. This is one of those products that just cause they can make something, doesn't mean they should. Yes it will have power but it wont keep dew off throughout the night which means your images will not come out. If you want something for just your guide camera, this will be good. Anything bigger...spend your money elseware. ... show more

  • Effective lens warmer
Size: 400mm
I chose this Svbony USB lens warmer over others, because Svbony makes telescopes. This is thicker than my old Protage USB lens warmers, so that is nice. I heard some people complain online about the inline digital control - uh, just disconnect and don’t use that portion… if you disconnect the inline digital control, it works just like the old Protage USB lens warmers did: plug in and heats automatically. It does achieve the same level of heat as my Protage ones did, and survived a few full nights without any dew on my lenses. ... show more

  • Works as Expected !
Size: 240mm
Very nice lens warmer, wrapped it around a telephoto lens and it took care of the dew. I like the fact that it just hooks up to a usb device (wall unit or portable battery). On high it pulls around 8.5 watts.
