  • Worked awesome for April 2024 Total Eclipse
Size: 5" SCT
It fit on my Celestron perfectly and made photographing the eclipse so much easier than a homemade solar filter. I only regret that I won't be able to use it for another 20 years.

  • Excellent Solar Filter
Size: 8" SCT and EdgeHD
This is considered an “OEM” for the Celestron NexStar Evolution. Fits snug on the lens end of my 8” Evolution and the Velcro adds extra security to prevent it from falling off. The photo was taken with my Canon EOS T6

  • Great value
Size: 6" SCT
I have included images from the Oct 2023 solar eclipse as seen in 80% annularity. Two are inside my telescope and another is utilizing the filter as a “sun shade” to view the sun in the sky as is, without a telescope. Worked beautifully. The only cons to this filter, which I believe is just part of purchasing a solar filter, is it is very thin film (unlike glass options), seemed to easily get a smudge, and did not come with a case to protect it (I opted to keep the original box.) was very sturdy on my telescope and I did not feel the need to utilize the Velcro straps - which don’t hurt as added protection as you don’t want it to come off and blind you or damage your scope. ... show more

  • Good Value Worked Well for the Eclipse
Size: 8" SCT and EdgeHD
The shipping was fast and the filter arrived undamaged. The filter was very easy to use and attached similar to the protective cover that comes with the telescope. The images produced from the filtered scope were very nice and I was happy with them for my first attempt at solar photography. If you have a Celestron telescope, this is one of the cheapest and easiest option that you can buy. I am sure you can make a filter out of film sheets, but this is an out of the box option that is ready to go and attaches easily. ... show more

  • Fits well on celestron 6se scope
Size: 6" SCT
I didn't bother to use the velcro adhesives as there is a retention springy element to the bezel that naturally grips the telescope. Image quality of the sun is great. The lens is solar foil, so I'll be keeping mine in the cardboard box that it came in. The box is thick enough cardboard and compact enough to reasonably do this for a long time. ... show more

  • Good product.
Size: 8" SCT and EdgeHD
This product works well. It fits my CPC 800 perfectly. It come with Velcro tabs for safety backup but it fits very positively, snapping in place. The only negative is that it is a fairly thin film of plastic so keep the original box to keep it stored in. If you left it out it could be torn if miss treated. The box fits nicely. Viewing was fine. ... show more

  • Solar filter for telescope
Size: 6" SCT
The Velcro straps worked great, the lens worked well with no cracks or dents even after heavy use. Very pleased. Used it to watch the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse

  • Never got a chance to use it because I couldn't get the scope to align correctly
Size: 8" SCT and EdgeHD
Might be a good filter, might be a bad filter. Telescope wouldn't align so returned it.
