The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my home-office to fight NW gloomy/cloudy winters to replace my existing ceiling lights. 5000K is psychologically perfect choice for me and the room is much brighter that I am now encouraged to read a book or spend more satisfactory time in the office room. I then bought more to replace the lights in my spouses' office room and kids play room. If I am not on budget, I would not buy this for my living room as this is a pretty simple one with no bells and whistles. Will update the review if anything changes, but for now 5 stars given the quality of brightness for the given price. I love the daylight setting as I can see things very clear as if I was outside. The lights are plenty bright for anywhere in a house. The lights material is very thin so I'm guessing that's why they were so cheap but I don't mind as I can't see any reason for it to be heavy duty. The look very nice as if it could be made heavier though. The install is super easy and fast. I personally installed a dimmer switch on mine so I have a ton of control of the amount of light. The other light settings can be easily changed by taking the cover off which is three thumb screws like on any light globe. after the cover is removed there is a 5 position switch for the light colors, that simple. These are sylish and we're very easy to install, super quick getting them up. I like how you can adjust the color temperature but wow are these bright. Too bright so I had to buy a dimmer but they work with that so it's not a huge deal.
