I sprinkled rice flour on the liner in the bowl and the dough didn't stick. After removing the dough from the basket I rinsed out the liner and air dried. Initially was just going to get the dough hook but this whole set has made the bread making process so much easier and more professional. The bread lame is another great bonus.     • I can make better bread

I want to start off by saying that I was skeptical that this basket would improve my sourdough making but it has. I guess because it doesn't retain moisture like my plastic tub did. Now, we are not talking a night and day difference, but I seem to get a more consistent loaf. First off, the shape is better but that is to be expected. Secondly, the liner and the brush make it much easier to clean. Just dust it with flour before adding your dough. After you are done you can brush off as much flour as you can and sit it out to dry. Or pick off/rinse any dough stuck to the liner. Will the basket itself hold up? I don't know but I think so. The liner seems fine but of medium quality. But I have nothing to judge it against. One area where it is lacking is the accessories. The lame is fine and is easier than holding a blade in your hand and the cover, while fake, is a nice addition. Also, the brush is nice too. That said, the dough scrapers are not my favorite. The quality is what you would expect at the price, but the shape is what I don't care for. Too squared off making them harder to use. Fortunately, I have others. The dough whisk totally isn't for me. The dough does exactly what you don't want it to do, sticks and badly. Plus, the handle is awful. Personally, I use a cold temperature professional scraper (looks like a silicon spatula) that was all of 2 dollars at a supply store but to each their own. (That said if you don't have one, they are useful.) All of that said, the value as a package is still there. You are going to pay as much for the lame and the basket. So, if you have no other tools for sourdough, you will get some to start with. If you have other tools, maybe just buy the two-basket package. ... show more

I got on the sour dough train and was struggling to have many bubbles in my bread, but this kit has helped. I now have a sharp scoring lame, extra blades.( It’s very sharp so be careful), the banneton basket makes my bread so pretty. The dough whisk works so well and gets my dough quickly to a point that I can start kneading the dough. The brush is your typical brush. The scraper is nice to clean my work surface after I’m done.And I didn’t really use the metal scraper, but I probably will at some point! ... show more

I’m pretty new to sourdough and wanted to get a set that wasn’t too pricey to try because I wasn’t familiar with what exactly I needed. I wasn’t too sure how I would like the banneton when I first got it because it smelled pretty bad. After letting it sit out and cleaning it, it’s been great! This set is really all you need to get started! I have used it multiple times and loved it so much that I have bought more to gift to friends and family. Great quality for an even better price.
