The media could not be loaded. I mean it is just checkers with Mario on it. The board is nice and the graphics are fun. The negatives are the pieces just have stickers on them, so we shall see how long those last. Plus, the pieces don’t stay on each other too well when you go to “king” someone. They say use the little Mario and Luigi hats but those don’t stay on at all. I with they had made the pieces a little more traditional with the little ridges on the end to keep them together. My kids love this game . It probably helps that we play super Mario so that they know the characters . I don't like the King hats - They only provide two king hats for each color and they don't stack over the checker . We usually just end up double stacking the checkers for Kings like in the traditional game. ( It also get slightly confusing for younger players if you use some hats and some double checkers . ) The tin storage box is very nice and will definitely hold up much better than a traditional cardboard box . The tic-tac-toe on the back is a plus . We've played it a few times and it makes my four-year-old son happy . In fact, my four-year-old likes this game overall more than my six-year-old . But I'm always happy to play it, too. Bottom line: good classic game , King hats disappointing . Overall, recommended if you just ignore the king hats, want a sturdy storage box and like Mario. ... show more

My son loves Luigi. He has socks, tshirts, shoes, etc. with Mario or Luigi on them. He has many work & coloring books that are Super Mario Bros. I thought I’d expand his collection & buy him this game. We have played it SOOOO many times. He loves it. It’s a simple game, that is well made.

Our 5 yr. old grandson loves playing board games, and is a huge Mario fan! I was wanting to buy a checkers game, and found this! Perfect! He loves playing this Super Mario checkers game! And the little hats when you get “kinged” are so cute! Some people have written negative comments about the Mario and Luigi hats to be used when getting “kinged”. We use the hats alone rather than trying to stack them onto the round pieces. *(See pics) If each player gets more than 2 kings, then we stack the checker pieces on top of one another as you do in a traditional checkers game! Then turn the board over and you can play Tic-Tac-Toe! ... show more

My 8 yr. old grandson loved this gift. It’s a great opportunity to introduce an old fashioned board game to the new generation. We gave it to him and played that night. First thing the next morning “ Grandma can we play again?” It comes in a nice tin box.
