Let me just start by saying I am a VERY HEAVY sleeper; I have a really hard time falling asleep, but once I am asleep, I could literally stay asleep through a tornado. I thus purchased this alarm hoping the vibration would be able to wake me; I was really worried that the vibration would be too light (I've tried using my iPhone on vibrate to wake me, but it did not work). I was happily surprised that the vibration was able to wake me once I tried it; it is not crazy strong, but it is not light/weak either. I will say, for me, the clock is still too bright (even when set to its dimmest setting), but I am very sensitive to that so it might not bother most people. I simply lay the clock face down, as there is no real reason I need to see the time and this solves the issue. The only other thing I would like to add is that I did have 1 problem with this clock, HOWEVER, customer service was great, and they took care of it right away. Several months after I bought the clock, the vibrating egg's wire broke right up against where it comes out of the egg. I was definitely past the return date, so I emailed their customer service asking what their warranty was, they responded the same day, and I think it was a year(?); whatever it was I was definitely still within warranty. I emailed them back, told them what happened, and they again responded the same day and stated they would send out a replacement immediately. The very next day, I received a message stating it had shipped, and within a couple of days I received it. I was very happy with their customer service, their response times, and they 100% stand behind their product. I would definitely buy again if I needed another one. ... show more

I’ve had this clock for a bit over 2 years now. My review sounds extremely critical of it, but it's worked quite well for me and I actually really do like it. I used to sleep straight through the barrage of alarms coming from my phone, Alexa, and old alarm clock about 2 or 3 times a week. And the rest of the time I would always oversleep. With this alarm I haven’t slept through it once, and I only really oversleep whenever I accidentally turn off both alarms when the first one goes off. Pros: ⁃ The bed shaker works fairly well (but it could stand to be a little bit stronger). We have a Sleep Number i8 and I have the shaker positioned in the top corner of the bed (about 18 inches away from the top and left side) between the mattress and base. I can feel it pretty well on my side, but if I’m in the middle of the bed it’s not super noticeable, and you can’t feel it at all on my wife’s side of the bed (although that’s probably a good thing if you don’t roll away from your side while sleeping). The shaker is very loud when it goes off which is nice. You hear it through bone conduction since your head is pressed up against the matter and the sound is traveling straight into your skull through the mattress itself, so it just hits different than hearing other external sounds normally. Hearing the sound of the shaker that way is honestly way more effective for me than the sound of the actual alarm. ⁃ The dimer levels go low enough so the light doesn’t bother my wife at all and it isn’t distracting to me either. It would be nice if you could set it to switch between them at a specific time though. The lowest setting is perfect during the night, but you can’t see it at all during the day unless you are less than like 3 feet away and you’re not looking at it from any sort of angle. ⁃ The alarm is definitely louder than a standard alarm clock, but I expect it to be a bit louder. Cons: ⁃ The small feet on the back don’t do much at all to stop it from falling over ⁃ It’s fairly easy to accidentally turn off the second alarm whenever you’re stopping the first one ⁃ The alarm doesn’t have an auto off. I accidentally set my alarms before traveling one time, and when I got back 3 days later it was still going off ⁃ The cords are a bit short. It doesn’t reach far enough to go from the power strip on the right side of my nightstand, behind the nightstand, and sit on the far end of it. I would prefer to have it far enough away that I can’t reach it without actually getting out of the bed to turn it off. ... show more
