This is a solid, all-around backpack for the price. Sure, there are better specialized backpacks for specific uses, but I think this is a good balance of weight, durability, size and organization for a fair price. I'm a photographer and I use mine almost daily to carry some lightweight LED lights and all those little doodads that you collect for the job: clamps, ball heads and all that good stuff. This pack doesn't show any sign of wearing out. My laptop fits well in the back pocket, so I'm ordering a second one to use for travel as well. If you have a particularly large, gaming-style laptop then it might not fit comfortably, but for something like a MacBook it works great. Recommend! ... show more

UPDATE: While the flaws listed below still exist, I increased my star rating because the seller has impeccable service. I almost immediately received a message offering to refund or replace the backpack, as well as information on their efforts for alleviating the issues. I’m very impressed. Would use them again for another product or the same one with improvement. OP: Most importantly was the awful zipper. It constantly snagged on the fabric flap and then broke off completely. It was infuriatingly frustrating. You’ll also have to waterproof it yourself with a spray, if that’s a concern. It’s only very mildly water resistant, which is fine for a misty sprinkle, but not more. Other than that, it’s fine. Lightweight and feels comfortable…. When it’s operational. ... show more

Between me and my kids we have gone through about every type of backpack you can think of for a daily use type situation and this one seems to beat pretty much all the others. First it is pretty much the perfect size, big enough for my laptop and not so big and heavy as a camping backpack. Second is it takes about 2 seconds to adjust it, if you ever had one of those with 5 or 6 places to try to adjust a backpack you can feel my pain, I put it on, pull 1 strap on each size and DONE. Third is that while marketed as waterproof I am not sure about that but unless you plan on throwing it into your pool or a river it is going to keep your stuff dry if you get caught in the rain, which is what I was looking for in a backpack. Throw in it has one of the most useful and easy to use USB connections of any of the other backpacks I looked at, 1 cable attached to a solid outside connector and the inside cable long enough that you won't pull it loose if you happen to run or turn quickly. I needed a backpack to carry the basics while traveling, and I wanted to be as light as possible as I'd have to stand on long TSA lines and trek miles through airports. I bought this one because the reviews talked about how light it was and I was not disappointed! The whole bag weighs less than 12 ounces. The front pocket has a zipper and is surprisingly roomy. Inside the front is a zippered mesh pocket and the back is nicely padded. There is a gathered pocket that you can tuck your tablet into so it is held against the padding. So it's got all the basics. The outer fabric is water resistant nylon and there is a taffeta lining, also water resistant. I wanted to carry a walking stick with me and my collapsible one fits nicely into a side exterior pocket. I added a tie cord near the top to secure it. (That is the little silver clasp in the picture.) The Peace design is brightly colored and really pretty. I am not sure I would choose this bag for hard use, but for school books or basic travel supplies it's perfect. ... show more

I like this backpack overall. It is very spacious and nice. The only thing that is a little frustrating is the lack of durability on the loop at the top to put it in a locker. I got this for school, and the loop could not hold the weight of the stuff in the bag, which wasn’t even being used at its absolute full capacity. This is great quality, looks great and has pockets. I bought another inexpensive one that has cheap/thin material and the zipper broke right away. This seems like the same quality my expensive North Face backpack has for a fraction of the price!
