Unboxed and everything was in tact except for a few bolts that "leaked out" of their blister pack container, all were present. No damage and the finish is very nice " hammered" finish. Install went pretty easy, instructions were pretty basic, but the diagrams included were all I needed to get it set up. Throw away the tools they include. They'll work, but power tools really are necessary for installation. The only hard part was working over my head for an extended period of time, but that's unavoidable. This is a good quality ceiling rack, with good parts, with good instructions making it easy to put together. I'd like to call out, though, that this doesn't work with standard joist spacing. I had hoped that the pieces that attach to the ceiling would be long enough to get at least one screw into a joist, but they are too short. They are 11" long, but you have to attack the piece that drops down vertically exactly in the middle. I ended up screwing some pieces of wood into the joists and then screwed the ceiling rack into the wood, not into the joists. ... show more

Maaaaannnnnnn..... if you've ever put together IKEA furniture, you know what bad instructions are. This product makes IKEA instructions look like awesome. Not all the parts are labeled, there are NO words in the instructions, and the pictures don't really clarify or explain what they are trying to convey. You pretty much have to figure everything out on your own. I've put similar shelving up in previous homes, so I had an idea of what was going on. If you haven't ever put up anything like this, save yourself a ton of headache and spend a few extra bucks to get a unit from Lowe's or Home Depot, the instructions will be much better, and keep your from ripping your hair out, or ripping your ceiling down by hanging this incorrectly. Sturdiness of the unit and quality of the parts is very good, that's why I still gave it 3 stars overall. ... show more
