Fill with water and when ready(red light), it will produce steam continuously when held horizontally without input from you, provided you set it for steam. The two buttons at thumb and forefinger are for extra steam bursts for tough wrinkles. Product manual is small and to the point. Read it. The people I was traveling with made fun of me and said I was being extra bringing this. Guess who asked to borrow it almost every single day?? This little guy was a powerhouse. No problems or issues with the voltage in Europe once I switched the iron to that mode. Heats up fast and does the job well! For most materials there’s no such thing as wrinkle free packing, so this was a necessity. Even in hotels with no ironing board I just ironed on the bed no issues. Only downsides: it has a little weight to it. I mean it’s an iron so that’s to be expected, but if you’re traveling ultra light it’s probably not a good fit. I however am a bag checker so I considered it worth the weight and (minimal) space given that I used it daily. Only been one trip so can’t speak to its longevity but for the $18 I paid I’ll consider it worthwhile if it lasts for just a few more! ... show more

I don’t have room for a full sized ironing set up, so just having a little iron to touch up clothes when needed is perfect. Don’t get me wrong though, this thing can handle doing the job of a full sized iron and honestly I like that the small size makes it easier to fit in some of the contours. I wish the steam was a little better at coming out without spitting and the dial was easier to turn, but small things for how well it works overall. ... show more

I love this little iron. It replaced a much older device and it is so much better. It is small and light weight but still does a good job smoothing out the wrinkles. Definitely will keep it in my suitcase for future trips!

Using a portable washer and a spin-dryer for small items such as underwear, socks, etc. Then, hanging them indoors inside my apartment when you don't have a backyard to use a clothes-liner and let the sunshine dried it naturally or a drying machine not allowed in the apartment but no problem it all dried up faster in a couple of days even when the AC is running. Next, I iron mostly underwears ! This little iron is perfect! It would be nice if they made a metal plate cover too so I could use it to rest the hot iron on it although this iron stands up vertically but I felt unsafe since its too light to tip over. ... show more

I don’t typically travel with an iron but I needed on a recent trip to the south of France to keep my linen blend pants looking nice. My hotel didn’t have irons in the room but this iron was perfect. Heats up quickly and is nice compact size. Worked fine with my outlet converter without an issue.

Wow! This was a godsend on our family trip! So many hotels do not have irons or steamers for your clothes and I hate being a wrinkled mess on vacation, especially for pictures! This iron is small and easy to pack. It is not super light weight, but it is doesn't weigh a ton either. Easy to use, heats up quickly. Does not have an auto shut-off so be sure to unplug it.
