  • Not a joke. It really works!
Size: Small Style: 1080W Travel Iron
This portable iron with steam is made with quality materials. It’s great for traveling, not heavy just enough for being well made. I am very critical when it comes to ironing results because I do iron pretty good. This one irons very well even cotton and linen. Amazing. This Iron works so well that sometimes instead of using the standard size we have I use this one for quick ironing at home! I love it. It’s a great finding.I will update. ... show more

  • Compact Iron That Punches Above Its Weight
Size: Small Style: Compact Non-Stick Soleplate Travel Iron
Compact Iron That Punches Above Its Weight This little Sunbeam travel iron surprised me with how effective it is for such a compact unit. At first glance, it looks like something that would only handle the lightest touch-ups, but in practice it heats quickly, puts out a good amount of steam, and smooths wrinkles in clothes just fine. I’ve used it on shirts, slacks, and even a light cotton dress while traveling, and it got the job done without me having to go over the same spot repeatedly. The dual voltage feature is a big plus if you travel internationally—it means I don’t have to pack a separate converter, just an adapter plug. The size is also perfect for slipping into a carry-on or even a tote bag. The non-stick soleplate glides easily and hasn’t snagged or left marks on fabric. A couple of things to keep in mind: the water reservoir is very small, so if you’re doing a lot of steaming you’ll be refilling often. Also, the handle is on the smaller side—it works for me, but someone with larger hands might find it a bit cramped. It’s not meant to replace a full-sized home iron; it’s for touch-ups, quick presses, and keeping clothes presentable on the road. Bottom line: A handy, well-designed travel iron that performs better than expected for its size. Great for business trips, vacations, or keeping in a dorm room when space is tight. ... show more

  • It's OK. Not incredibly safe. Cheap and gets the job done.
Size: Small Style: Compact Non-Stick Soleplate Travel Iron
I was not sure what I was expecting with this iron with it being so inexpensive. It gets the job done, but there are some significant annoying flaws with the item. __Good__ *I like that it's small, compact and that it puts out a decent amount of steam. *The shape of the "handle" is actually pretty easy to grip and the iron is pretty comfortable to use considering how small it is. __Bad__ *The dial is almost impossible to turn. Good thing I will probably only use it on high anyway, and I can just keep it there. * When filled, even below the "max fill level" it will leak scalding hot water out of the back where you hold it. Especially when it it at it's marked capacity, when turned on and standing upright, it will actually start to violently spit out near-boiling water out of the front! The first time I filled this and plugged it in to heat it up, it sprayed out about 2-4 tablespoons of scalding hot water onto the table below (not steam). You have to fill it to about half the marked fill line. Any more and you risk getting scalded. * The water tank is sealed by a flimsy "door" and water leaks out of it easily and readily. The water gets very hot and the door is right where you hold the iron. *The iron's base is not very sturdy and many factors make it hard to keep it standing upright. There are no rubber feet on the bottom or anything to grip a surface, just a thin strip of contact makes contact with anything you set it on, paired with the orientation of the power cord (see below) and leaking (see above) this can pretty dangerous. __Shame__ Why does Sunbeam not show the orientation of the cord in any of their images of this item here or on their own website? This is just something that I feel was deliberately hidden because it was put in such a poor spot. It's actually pretty dangerous, bordering on unsafe. You can't really set the iron down on any surface without carefully placing it on the corner of something, and because it also has no rubber feet as mentioned above, any slight bump in the cord will cause it crash down. Yikes! But you know what, it's so tiny. I have no idea where else they could have put it, I just wish the whole thing was pictured. Why did I rate 4 stars with so many negatives? It costs $10 and is still worth it in my opinion, and can be solved by being extra careful and not overfilling, but if these problems bother you, get a better iron. ... show more

  • Adjustable Temp Control… hot hot hot
Size: Small Style: Compact Non-Stick Soleplate Travel Iron
Great product for the price. Heats up quickly! Min. - Max temp control, can set for steam. Works perfectly with the small item I need to press so I don’t have to drag out the big iron!
