Description

Interesting to look at for many reasons, this eye-catching object shows what the weather has in store. In the 1800s, during his voyage with Charles Darwin, Admiral Robert Fitzroy used and later popularized the storm glass, which promised to predict the weather. A beautiful twist on this classic device, the Storm Cloud is a fun way of seeing what the weather has in store. Filled with a special liquid that responds to changes in the atmosphere, the crystals within the cloud-shaped glass indicate whether it'll be fair, cloudy, rainy, windy, or stormy. Whether sitting on a windowsill or a desk, the Storm Cloud is irresistible décor for the curious-minded. ENTERTAINING AND EDUCATIONAL: The Storm Cloud is as stylish and fun as it is informative. Place it on a shelf or table and marvel as it reveals each day’s forecast. UNIQUE GIFT: This distinctive item makes a perfect gift for any daydreamer or nature lover. RAVE REVIEWS: With hundreds of five-star ratings, reviewers love the Storm Cloud. One person calls it a “great conversation piece” and another says it’s “the best barometer EVER!” Perfect for: Design nerds, cloudspotters, and science buffs Adding a touch of everyday wonder to any home or office space Anyone interested in meteorology—children and adults alike! • Nice gift
I give this five stars, not because it is amazing at predicting weather, but because it made a cute gift and looks very cute and unique on our piano. It makes for a neat conversation piece and seeing the fluctuations is pretty cool even if it is 100%

  • Weather cloud
But for a birthday present. Came with instructions with what to look for on the atmosphere changes everyone likes to go by and look at it. Great gift.

  • Cute but
It’s cute and I love it. However, I don’t know if it truly predicts the weather. However, it’s cute and I love it anyway and it lives happily in my window :)

  • More decorative than functional
I really wanted to like this a lot and brought it for actual functionality. Hopefully. But I find that it doesn’t quite shift and change. I get pretty the same display summer or winter. I still like it for decorative purposes but wished it worked better. It is a little pricey for decoration only.

  • Great Mystery Gift
We did a white elephant Santa exchange. This was the premier gift as it is so unique yet fun. Great ways to explain science to younger kiddos as well

  • Wouldn't count on it, but it's cute
It took about 2 weeks for it "calibrate" or whatever it's called, but now we're seeing crystals forming. It's definitely a conversation piece and it's fun trying to interpret the crystals. We like it

  • Don't waste your money!
I wanted this to work so bad because it is so cute. However, I followed all instructions and it does not work at all, not even a little. Some clusters will form at the bottom but it never changes no matter the weather. The directions also say it can take a few weeks for it to acclimate so by the time I was completely dissatisfied and tried to return I had missed the window. As much as I wanted this product to work or even change slightly with the weather, I should have listened to other reviews that it doesn't do what it says and save my money. Don't make the same mistake as me. ... show more

  • It works!
Man, do I love this thing! My hopes were not high, but after a few months of letting it settle, it’s finally working! Super fun for an office, and placed near a window but not in direct sunlight.
