I bought this book for my preschool class during our apple curriculum. It was perfect! Easy to read. Very informative. The children listened and learned! Great pictures! I used it for 3 year olds but I think it would be great through kindergarten too.

I bought my son Jill McDonald's Solar System book when he was an infant. He's now turning 3 and I will continue to buy her Hello World books for him and his baby sister. One of his favorite places to go is our local apple orchard, so this book was especially interesting and relevant to him. This book explains how apples grow from seeds, as well as the different parts of an apple, and how apples get from farm to store. Jill McDonald's books are beautifully illustrated, easy to follow, and simply worded without ever feeling "babyish". As toddlers get older they get more interested in the bonus facts that the books contain. Even my son's 8 year old cousins like to read these books with him, so based on our experience they do appeal to a wide age range. They're a really fun introduction to STEM subjects for little learners. Highly recommend! ... show more

I’m very happy with this book about apples. Perfect for my preschool lesson. I was able to read it to my 2 & 3 year olds. Vibrant pictures kept them engaged.
